I just changed phones and got a Moto Z Droid. I spend hrs today (away from home) trying to figure out how to make a change on my phone. When I got home I had to make the change on my computer. Then looked up to find out that Moto Z is NOT compatible with my fitbit. Not Happy.
It is a Fitbit issue...I've tried to sync two HR Charge 2s and neither would sync. I've owned about 5 fitbits and know what I'm doing. My phone will sync to anything else I try to sync it to, but not to this FB and it did sync before!
It may be a phone issue. I just got my Fitbit Blaze tonight and I have a Moto Z Droid and it is syncing perfectly and receiving notifications as well. This may seem like silly advice but just make sure all of your notification settings are properly set. Good luck!

If it a Fitbit issue as you insist, then why do so many of us with Moto Z phones have no issues? If it was truly a Fitbit issue, then there would be no connectivity with these phones at all.
Best AnswerIt definitely is a FitBit issue, although that doesn't mean you can't have a phone that will sync. FitBit will tell you the MotoZ is NOT compatible at this time. And further evidence of this fact is my original MotoZ, (which had to be replaced within 3 months of purchase) would sync, although sometimes it was more difficult, however my new one will not.

Can you rephrase that; I have no idea what your words are trying to say.
Regarding compatibility, I've had three Fitbit devices (two Surges and an Ionic) since I got my Moto Z, and all three trackers synched with my Moto Z first time, every time.

Best AnswerI picked up a Z2 Play unlocked when they first came out (July/Aug) and it was syncing just fine with my Flex2 until around October...then it would get all flaky requiring a restart of the phone before it would sync. Eventually, though, even that wouldn't work. It looks like only a handful of older Motorola phones are on the official "supported" list....what's up with that?

I purchased the Ionic last week and returned it 24 hours later after I was told from Fitbit themselves that it would not work with my Z Force. It showed up on my phone and synced my stats; however, the text/notification capabilities and music would not work. Does that work with your Ionic? What Moto do you have?
I have had an old version Charge for 3 or 4 years and never had a sync issue, but that's always been the data not anything like text since it's not available with that old device. Thanks!!
So, we had issues out of the box connecting to a Droid Z Force. App would not load correctly, would not connect to phone would not see the new Ionic. I randomly figured out a solution. Moved the Fitbit app from the SD card to internal storage, and now the app loads fast and connected without issue. Not sure if this will work for everyone, but it cleared up our issues.
Best AnswerI have been struggling for 6 months trying to get my Charge 2 working in sync with my motorcycle z2 play. I was told back in Sept that the compatible was being worked on. come on, 6 months?? There is a software update I can't do. Do I give up on fitbit and go to another brand. I never had a problem with Samsung.
A year later. Still too soon?

Hi there Android users, there are many devices that still are being tested to determined if the device is compatible with Fitbit. Despite a phone has all the hardware requirements to be a supported device, when is currently not on our list of supported devices we cannot guarantee that certain functionalities will work as is expected, due to the app is not optimized to run with the device in question.
If the app is presenting issues to sync or with other features, it wouldn't hurt to try alternatives like using a computer in the meantime. Rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list for the convenience of our users, so keep an eye open for updates!
See you later and thank you for your feedback.
