Connection suddenly not working with Moto g7

I've had my versa for a year with two different phones, and I absolutely love it. But last weekend all of the sudden my versa isn't getting notifications, and I can rarely get it to even register with the Bluetooth on my phone. I've started and restarted my watch and my phone so many times, and sometimes it will work but only for a little while. I even did the factory reset, but I still can't see the versa come up when I search for Bluetooth devices near me. I understand that the G7 isn't one of the compatible devices, but I haven't had a problem until this weekend suddenly. I know if I had an iPhone instead of a Motorola it would probably work a lot better, but if I could afford an iPhone I probably would have an Apple watch too. When I talked to customer service they said that this had been a problem with a new update, but I don't know anything past that. Does anyone else have a sudden connection problem??

The message boards are full of similar reports and complaints.
You could wait for an update of the app hoping that it will fix this issue.
Or you could try installing the earlier version 2.90 of the app (temporarily - until the issues are resolved).
You can find the 2.90 version if you google "fitbit 2.90 mirror" without the quotes.
Before you install 2.90, make sure you go to settings -> apps - > find the current version of the app and delete cache & data and then uninstall. Then reboot your phone and install 2.90.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I did all of those things
and it worked! If you try it, don't forget to go into the app and allow all
the notifications again. Seriously, thank you!!!!

Is the Moto G7 power still connecting with the Versa now? Looking to buy this Moto but won’t of there is an issue still. I need my Versa for my job so it’s pretty integral!

it is. I did what the advice said, and I have an older version of the app on my phone and it's all working perfectly. I think at this point they may have fixed some of the bugs and I might try the newest version, but I haven't gotten around to it. But the above solution works like a charm!

Have you gone back in and updated to the newest version of the app? Still having issues or have they been successfully resolved?

Hi there. I haven't updated the app. Stuck with an old version, but can't
remember which one, and it is still running smoothly.
Hope this helps.

Shutdown the Fitbit and restart it.
Uninstall and then reinstall the Fitbit app.
Happens to me every now and then so I follow this routine and it picks it
up again.
It is an issue that needs fixing tho.
