I have the Fitbit Charge 6 and before the 4.08 version Fitbit app update, the notifications worked fine, no issues. After that update, I have started receiving the "Notification service is not running. A phone restart is required..." error under the Fitbit app notification settings and most of the time my device was not getting notifications. I was not particularly concerned about it since it is not an essential feature for me but it was still annoying. I thefefore disabled the notification option. Today I wanted to check if there was any changes to the issue and I was surprised to see that the notification settings option disappeared from the app. It used to be under the "General" settings of the device related page. Now it's gone and nowhere to be found.

Well, there seems to be a solution to this. I unpaired the device from Fitbit app and phone, reset the device to factory settings, deleted the Fitbit app and installed it again, paired the device to the Fitbit app and phone and the notification settings is showing in the app again.

Hi @SunsetRunner
I believe I've seen a few posts where users have reported that Notifications disappeared from their device page.
I'll ask around and see if anyone has information or suggestions.

It is quite peculiar, like why would such an issue only affect certain users? It is not like everyone is getting a different app verison or is it?
I have tried clearing app cache and data, also uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted the phone.
Again, it is not a feature that really matters to me. I would still prefer everything worked as intended. I am still glad the issues I have experienced so far only affected the functioning of the app and not my Charge 6 which has been behaving alright. Fingers crossed.
