Hi everyone. We’re aware of an issue that may cause the Fitbit app to quit unexpectedly when you open the Exercise tile.

To fix an issue where the Fitbit app unexpectedly crashes when you open the Exercise tile, follow these steps. Note you’ll need to log back into the Fitbit app with your email address and password.

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps > Fitbit > Storage.
  3. Tap Clear Data.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log in.
  5. Be sure to accept the requests for your phone to access your location, notifications, and other settings.

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue. I assure you that our team is aware and working on finding a resolution. I will be sure to keep you all updated as more information becomes available.

Things stopped workibg so I deleted and reinstalled the app. It at least still works 😉

But: I don’t see the maps of my walks any more. Or do I have to change a setting somewhere?

Not an applicable fix on an iPhone.  Thankfully the stopwatch still works so I can time my run and then input into MAPMYRUN, the old way like how I did things before I spent so much on a Fitbit.

I have been having the same issue for the last week or so.  Did a factory reset.   Didn’t work.   However, I changed the setting for screen wake to “manual (button)” and haven’t had a problem for the last several hours.   Keeping my fingers crossed.

Actually, that's what mine does though eg it shows I've just had a 13 minute walk but in a few minutes it will go back to zero.

I cleared cache, reinstalled the app and also removed and added the device again. It worked for.me

When you reinstalled the app was all your previous progress still there?
I'm afraid incase I lose all my data if I do it.

I agree...not a fix for iphone.  What next FitBit support?

It's in settings of your phone, not in the app @Fusco67

I reinstalled the app after it hung and wouldn't let me log in.  Seems to be working ok now.  No data lost since all the sync'ed info stores in the cloud. I checked the website dashboard first to make sure it was sync'ed.

Happened last night to my wife.  Nothing seems to fix it.  Now cannot connect to charge 3 by bluetooth.  Screen is totally blank (black).

Also try to remove your Charge3 from bluetooth devices so it gets installed from start
