Random exercise data is disappearing. This has been happening for months now. For example, I open the log for months of November - days 13 and 14 were circled, indicating that exercise was logged, and two seconds later the circled disappeared. I know I logged workouts on those days - even my Google timeline shows that I took a 40 minute walk. It's like data just gets randomly erased. Or, I know that on October 9th I spent the entire day hiking, and my watch recorded everything, and it was saved on the account. Now that entire week is empty, despite me exercising every day that week. But about 5-10 days a month remain there, it's not like entire months are being lost. It only happens weeks later, after syncing with the watch shouldn't apply anymore. Based on some other people's threads, this has been an issue for years, and nothing has been done to protect the data.
There is no way to make a local backup of data or export it out of the account. Is anyone working to fix this issue?
I did that they responded and still my info is missing. Re entered the info manually and it keeps disappearing.
Mine is disappearing at midnight every day. So if I sync my One, I see the step data in the app, but as soon as midnight rolls around, it's just gone.
The weird part though, it that when I get the weekly summary emails, the amounts show up there, but are nowhere to be seen in the app! So is there some website I can go to just see the data?
All my data disappeared; according to the device, I gained 100 lbs overnight. I found that my app and device were no longer connected, so I reconnected them. Fitbit saw this as a new user and asked if I wanted 6 months of premium, which I declined because I am already paying for premium. Now, I no longer can access the premium features I pay for, and I don't know how to link my app with my account. Ideas?
This is crazy.
Hello @Charliebrowndog
I think you're going to have to contact Support (<-- click link) to get your account & Premium subscription straightened out. Complete the prompts until you have the option to chat or call. It might be better to speak to a support agent.

thank you...this is frustrating.
This has been broken for months tho, and they're still "looking into it"? I find it hard to believe that this isn't taken more seriously. I've rated the app poorly and sent in emails in September of 2024. There's months of messages on this forum with complaints about this. Thanks.

Ok as I just wrote that, I see there was an update January 8 to the app. I've updated and checked my workout history and the days have returned! Omg. Anyone else?
Hello @justingtp
Thanks for letting us know that you got the app update and now see your workout history. I'm hoping that the update will fix the issue for everyone else.
Just to confirm, the app now shows version 4.34 after updating. Is that correct?

@justingtp Which Fitbit device do you have, and is your phone an Android or an iPhone? I have a Fitbit One with an Android phone. I just checked the Play Store, and the most current version of the app is still 4.32 for me. It would be wonderful if our issues were finally resolved!
Hi, I have a Pixel Watch 3 and Android Google Pixel 8 Pro. I was afraid to open the workout days again but I just did and they are still all there! I logged all those workouts in my Pixel Watch 2. I just swapped over. And it's still there. *Phew*
