Random exercise data is disappearing. This has been happening for months now. For example, I open the log for months of November - days 13 and 14 were circled, indicating that exercise was logged, and two seconds later the circled disappeared. I know I logged workouts on those days - even my Google timeline shows that I took a 40 minute walk. It's like data just gets randomly erased. Or, I know that on October 9th I spent the entire day hiking, and my watch recorded everything, and it was saved on the account. Now that entire week is empty, despite me exercising every day that week. But about 5-10 days a month remain there, it's not like entire months are being lost. It only happens weeks later, after syncing with the watch shouldn't apply anymore. Based on some other people's threads, this has been an issue for years, and nothing has been done to protect the data.
There is no way to make a local backup of data or export it out of the account. Is anyone working to fix this issue?

Hi everybody! Thank you for keeping us updated.
The new app is starting to roll out. It might take a few days for everyone to receive it. As mentioned before, the app release is NOT dependent on your location. You might get the update today and your neighbor might get it a few days later.
Make sure that you have the automatic update on or keep an eye open, for when it is available to you in the Play Store/ App Store. The release will be for both systems.

Hi JuanFit,
I updated the app, restarted my phone and shut it down and then turned it back on, but it is still having problems. It will sync, but then as soon as midnight rolls around, the data no longer shows for yesterday, or any other day before today. I'm not sure if this is the app or my FitBit One failing. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.

I've forwarded your info to our team , so that they get a closer look at this.
Most probably this is an app issue. If your Fitbit One is still syncing, it means, that the info has been passed to your account, only that the app is not showing it.
Could you please let us know the phone model you are using and the operating system version on it? ( eg, Pixel Phone 7, Android 15, iPhone 15 iOS 17.6.2, etc)

I have a Google Pixel 8a with Android version 15. And the Fitbit app info shows version 4.34.1.fitbit-mobile- 110186727- 713097289

@JuanFitbit I have been advised to post here. I have an issue with new Samsung A16 phone that I received on 10th Dec 2024. All historical fitbit data is visible in app on new phone EXCEPT step data. No step data visible prior to 10th Dec. App is up to date.
