EDIT: As of Sep 9, the exercise tile is no longer pulsing grey and is once again interactive. HOWEVER, exercise sessions logged on my Fitbit device are not syncing correctly with the app (steps and zone minutes are updating but the exercise session e.g. "Workout" is not displaying and I can't see the graph of my heartrate during said exercise. Also, I am unable to view any previous weeks' exercises going back to when I set up the device. Since it appears from this thread and at least one other that many people are experiencing similar issues, I highly recommend that everyone contact support so the company sees the similar tickets and is more likely to take remedial action. The squeakier the wheel, the more grease, as they say...
Here is a screenshot of when I try to view a previous week's exercises:
Over the last couple days, I've noticed the 'Exercise days' tile on the app isn't loading. Instead of the normal text, it's just pulsing grey rectangles like it's loading, but it never loads. At first it was just the current day, but now when I go back several days, the tile isn't loading for any of the days. All the other tiles load just fine.
I've included a screenshot of what the tile looks like when it's pulsing light and dark grey.
I am having the same issue with the Exercise tile. I assume they broke something in the last update? I know they are recording though because they are syncing over to Runkeeper and Strava, and under my "Readiness" score, it shows the exercise icons for that day which means it did recognize exercise! Also, I'm wondering if it's only GPS related activities that's causing the issue? Because I recorded a Pilates class the other day and it synced correctly to Fitbit, but then when I unpaired the bluetooth again, it disappeared!! Since it's syncing with my fitness apps, it's probably fine but it is annoying seeing that Exercise tile trying to load!
Best AnswerI tried recording a yoga class and a treadmill run the other day, and nothing synced. I wondered about the GPS possibilities as well, but don't think that's the problem. Sigh...
Has anyone from Fitbit Support weighed in here to acknowledge there is an issue?
Best AnswerLol not that I'm aware of! Nothing beyond submitting support tickets and being told "we're aware of the issue and working on a solution." I've been hearing that for weeks now.
Best AnswerWith all those software engineers and the claim that it is a software company, Google should have solved this problem in 2 days. I am about to throw away my Fitbit!
Best AnswerJust finished talking to support. Apparently there is an update coming on Sept 25 that should resolve the issue.
Gosh, just under a month (IF an update actually resolves the problem) to fix this. Completely unacceptable.
Thanks for the update SpaceMonkey, although i cant say i have any expectaion that this will happen.
Best AnswerUpdate: my exercise logged yesterday, including a peloton workout. It seems to be working well now, but past data for all of September didn't load. I'm ok with that as long as it keeps working from now on
Mine worked for about two days a while back, then quit syncing again. Now I'm back to the greyed out exercise tiles endlessly trying to load. Hopefully yours stays functioning. Still waiting for a fix!
Best AnswerAlso mine has stopped working again - just done workouts on Peloton and nothing there. I must have a got a solid 5 hours working out of it today.
Best AnswerBeen in the Google ecosystem for most things except fitness. Moved over from Garmin where you have no subscription to Fitbit + Pixel Watch 3 and I so want this to work, but so far the experience has been absolute let down.
Have this issue in addition to getting error that Fitbit app is unable to sync with PW3. I believe this started with an app update couple of days ago.
My peloton workouts on the bike which show that it has been synced with Fitbit is also not working.
Give it a week more and probably go back to Garmin.
Best AnswerMy pixel watch 3 syncs with Fitbit but that's about all that's working since Aug 30. None of my Peloton workouts show up, except in the Health Connect part of Fitbit. Still have the grey boxes where exercise is supposed to show. I just got my Pixel Watch 3 so I'm hoping this won't last much longer.
