I updated to Android 13 today.
From then on, no sync possible anymore.
I already:
Now I'm stuck with a watch that can't be connected anymore and is stuck in install mode.
Edit: To clarify. The Charge 5 is being seen via bluetooth, i get's found by the app, but it doesn't complete the connection.

Do the app developers know what their doing?! Surely they must test this stuff to keep up with the Android updates. I have a Charge 5, fold 3 phone with this issue. Surely they knew its Christmas and people will be getting fitbits, so make sure your app is up-to-date! Jesus christ.

bought a Charge 5 for my husband. spent literally hours trying to set it up on GalaxyZFold 3 5g. Finally was told there is a 'known' bug and they expect to have a fix release early 2023. Version13 updated in my phone December 6th and screwed up everything. But now its been months. Guess I can switch to Samsung product? any experience?
oh sure, its December and I can't connect a new Charge 5 to my Galaxy Zfold3 5g.
Does this also affect the Charge 4? Mine won't sync with my Flip 4 after updating to Android 13.

If it makes you feel any better I even went as far as downloading the app to my Chromebook OS that is owned by Google and even there my Fitbit charge 5 doesn't want to fully function so... Google took over Fitbit but even Google products such as their Chromebooks won't fully function with the Fitbit app. So, it's one of those wait and see type scenarios. They ought to compensate each and every person that has complained on this form in some manner. That would be the right thing to do! But that means it's going to cost them money, so I'm sure we'll be long dead before we see that happen! Sad world we live in today no compassion / empathy for anything yet alone a technological device.
Yes, it's going to affect each and every phone from Samsung that was
updated to the Android 13. And I've actually noticed that even ones that
aren't Samsung branded that have nothing to do with Android 13 update are
still having connection issues. It'll find the device but it will not
connect it times itself out. There are a few on here that claim that
they've had these patches, and it fixed their phone to the Fitbit. However,
I have tried everything under the sun according to what Fitbit has told me
to do only to come up with nada! I'm using a Galaxy Fold4 5g and a Fitbit
charge 5 myself and nothing works. I've even attached it to my Google
Chromebook and it doesn't want to work well there either. Considering
Fitbit is co-owned or owned by Google it's strange to see that even Google
products do not want to cooperate with Fitbit. So this is a Fitbit problem
not a Samsung not a Google it's a Fitbit issue.

@Dark_Phoenix Its a bit of both- fitbit works on Samsung Android 13 for non-Foldables so its a Samsung/Fitbit issue.
The latest Samsung update (today- F711BXXU3DVL9) has fixed the issue on at least two Flip3 5Gs when nothing previous has (and I'm in tech support so trust me, I tried everything twice over!)
But I'm guessing like Fitbit that the Samsung updates are rolled out in stages (the last Fitbit update -which didn't work- took two weeks to reach me). So keep checking for updates but there is a fix from Samsung.
I keep checking, but no update available (I'm in Oregon, USA).I'm using a new Samsung Z Fold 4 and a fitbit Charge 4

Best AnswerYes. I've had the problem most of December. Evidently, Fitbit is saying they hope to have an update in 2023. I'm calling for a refund for my Charge 4 and my wife's Luxe.
