Failing to sync after Android 13 update Samsung Flip/Fold

I updated to Android 13 today.
From then on, no sync possible anymore.
I already:

  • Restarted my phone
  • Shut down the phone completly
  • Force quit Fitbit
  • Deleted and reinstalled Fitbit (should be the newest version)
  • Reset the Charge 5
  • Shut down Google Assistant (apparently that's a problem with the Sense and Android 13)
  • Restarted Bluetooth several times
  • Hard Reset the Charge 5

Now I'm stuck with a watch that can't be connected anymore and is stuck in install mode.

Edit: To clarify. The Charge 5 is being seen via bluetooth, i get's found by the app, but it doesn't complete the connection.

That's good to know. I'm in Virginia with T mobile flip 3 and didn't get it yet. Hopefully we'll be getting it soon.

Ok I just did the Samsung update on my phone and my Charge 4 now synchs.

To do this manually on your phone

1. Go to Settings

2. From there go to Software Updates and check for updates

3. Follow the instructions there to check for and install any new Samsung updates

 

Once I did the update,  my fitbit synched, it took a bit for it to finish synching but it's now working

Flip v3, AT&T, NJ (USA) - just got updated to F711USQU3EVL9  and it now syncs with my Charge 5.

I just another Update 18 on my Flip3. Why don't they send them to everyone at the same time? I still cannot sync my Luxe to my phone.

Okay, my update ends in EVL9 and still doesn't sync. Is this the update with the "fix"?

The Samsung update did not automatically load, every day I have been checking settings, software update, check for software updates, and today finally there was one, I downloaded the update, and my fitbit didn't pair the first few times I tried it, but then voila, on the fourth try it did!  Chicago Verizon.

That's great. I'm in nyc, tmobile.  I don't have an android fitbit app update yet, but im glad it seems to be rolling out soon! This been too long. 

 

Better Beta testing needs to be done on all devices. Especially popular fold/flip ones. Problems that span a period of months should not be happening.

I've had the same problem with my Charge 4 and my Samsung Z Fold 3 since a security update back in early December.  I received a security patch update today from Samsung. After the new update finished loading, I tried to pair it again.  Viola...I'm back in business.  Maybe try your's now, too...  Good luck.

 

Try it again.  I received a security patch update today from Samsung...I have the Samsung Z Fold 3 phone.  I haven't been able to sync my Fitbit Charge 4 since the update on 12/1/2022.  Today, after the new update finished loading, I tried to pair it again.  Viola...I'm back in business.  Maybe try your's now, too...

Where you you located and who's your service provider? I have a z flip 3 and charge 5. I'm with TMobile. I've been checking for updates everyday.

New York City, tmobile, galaxy fold 4...nothing yet. 

 

No android fitbit app update and no Samsung update. 

 

I am happy people are starting to get updates, gives me hope 😅😭
