Feedback about the Fitbit app experience

I am disgusted with my Fitbit Luxe app, as it is obviously designed to drive the product into disrepair so you buy another one. This is not chump change--it was $150.

It constantly stalls, especially as it gets toward 10k steps.
I tried to restart it and it jammed and did nothing for the syncing.

Is it the tracker that stops tracking, or the app that doesn't sync the steps?
