My device stopped syncing a few days ago. I went thru the usual, and previously successful, steps of reconnecting the devices. One step that always makes me nervous, but has worked, is to "forget" the fitbit from my phone and then re-introduce them to reconnect. this time, when asked to turn on the fitbit, it goes into stopwatch mode, so is clearly "on" but is not recognizable/findable by my phone.
Blue tooth is active on my phone, is connects with other devices, but does not recognize One.
thanks for any suggestions!

Hi there @fill9, nice to see you have joined the Fitbit Community!
In this case if you are experiencing issues to reconnect your tracker, I recommend not to remove your tracker from your account completely, as this may cause other issues like the one you are experiencing. So instead, just set up your tracker again without removing your tracker from your account. Or you can give it a try to the following suggestions if ou are having syncing issues: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).
Now lets resolved the issue were your Android is not recognizing your tracker. When your app tells you to start your tracker by pressing the button, do not hold the button as this will activate the exercise mode (Stopwatch). Instead just press the button continuously, long enough to keep the screen On.
If the issue continues, perhaps these steps will get you back on track:
Hope this helps and let me know if you have other questions.
