Fitbit Sense settings for scanner intensity

I'm trying to find the settings for how often the Fitbit sense reads my biometrics and not having any luck finding it in the app settings or the device settings. When I first set it up about two three months ago I set it for the highest frequency. About 5 or 6 weeks into owning it and wearing it I noticed that my skin underneath where the Fitbit sense normally sat was getting "old," kind of wrinkled, and it was quite alarming. I stopped wearing it. I assume it is due to the UV radiation from the device. I also assume that if I set the frequency of reads to the lowest possible I'll be able to prevent that damage to my skin.

 

Anyone know where I can find deets for accessing the ancient wisdom of Fitbit Sense scanner settings?

I have never seen such a setting anywhere.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
