Fitbit Primary Goal widget is blinking about every second. This just started happening within the last week.
I have tried restarting, and even removing and re-adding the widget but it still happens.

This has been affecting me as well and I have done the whole remove the widget and start over thing but it doesn't help. It does briefly go away when I restart my phone, but it will start back up after awhile.

Hi, this has been happening to me for about a week now. I came here to see if someone else had a fix! Finally, what worked: I went and logged out of the app and then back in and that seems to have stopped the flashing for now. Give that a try and hopefully will work for you and others.

I have the exact same issue on my Pixel 4 running Android 11.
Did the steps suggested above, but the issue is still there. Any suggestion?

The other things I did were to check for and apply the latest security update for my phone, which restarted the device. I also removed the widget and re-added it. However, the logging out of the app and then in again is what did the trick for me. It's been about a day and the flashing has not returned.

Thanks for the tip! I had this same problem on my Samsung S10+, did all the same things, restarted phone, uninstalled, reinstalled... kept blinking. Logging out and and logging back in seems to have fixed it. Thank you!

And mine was blinking again this morning. Looks like I'll be logging out and logging back in as long as this keeps up. Seems to be a temporary fix.

Mine blinked again briefly this morning during a background security/app scan (Ksprsky) and then thankfully stopped once the scan was complete.

Strangely, when mine is blinking I can get the blinking to stop temporarily by turning off Bluetooth. The blinking will remain stopped for some time (even after turning Bluetooth on) but eventually it will start blinking again.

I tried that as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Nothing works.

Pixel 5 here, latest security updates etc.
Force closing the app seems to fix it for a few hours, then the same issue returns.
I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling, but the issue comes back. All permissions are allowed, and location is set to all the time in case it was a permissions check issue.
Happens when on wi-fi or mobile data, and when opening the app it looks to communicate with the Fitbit fine.
When the widget starts blinking I've found it severely impacts the performance (even using the keyboard is very stuttery), and puts a noticeable drain on the battery life, but the system stats don't show unusual use of either.
There doesn't seem to be any issues in the Fitbit app itself when the widgets start blinking, and no other apps widgets are behaving in this manner.

Agreed, noticed this with my Pixel as well. Widget was blinking, phone got very warm, typing was sluggish and lost about 10% battery very rapidly. Had to restart to get performance back. Strange.

My widget which shows step count on my home screen constantly flashes which is pretty irritating! I'm using a new phone (one plus Nord 2) but this also occurred on my Huawei Mate 20 Pro which I've just upgraded.
I've checked that the app is up to date and have removed and re added the widget with no luck.
