Fitbit and Motorola Moto G 3rd generation compatibility

I am stuck in endless loop.  My charge 3 won't synch, hasn't since Nov 28.  I cannot update software because it can't connect via the bluetooth.   I have tried the list of steps, I repetetively get the 'update failed' message.   Idon't know what else to try.

Moto G (3rd generation) Android version 6.0

Hi there @KarenMcDaniel, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having problems getting your Charge 3 to sync to your Moto G 3rd generation. Thanks a lot for all that you've tried so far to get it to work.

When it comes to devices compatibility, due to Bluetooth issues that prevent certain devices, like Fitbit devices, from syncing, our products aren't compatible with the following phones:

Huawei P8 Lite
Huawei P9 Lite
Huawei P20 Lite
Xiaomi Mi 6

For all other devices, if they're not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with them but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them. We're continually adding more devices and improving our compatibility, so if you don't see your device on the list check back soon.

To use the Fitbit app you must have one of the following operating systems installed on your phone or tablet:

Apple iOS 10 or higher
Android OS 5.0 or higher
Windows 10 version 1607.0 or higher

Alternatively, you can use the Fitbit app for Windows 10 on your computer, or use Fitbit Connect to sync with a Mac or Windows 8.1 computer to access your data and take advantage of the many features of your Fitbit device.

To see the full list of the devices that are compatible, click here.

Anything else you may need, I'm here to help!

PS. I'm moving your post to the Android app board for categorization purposes.

Synching worked fine - Until November 29 when it abruptly stopped. I do
not have Windows 10 installed due to other issues - nothing for Windows 7?

Love like there is no tomorrow. Some day there won't be.

Also, Moto G is ON the approved list.   This appears to be an error in one of the updates.
