Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the Google App play store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/23
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

I have the new version of the dashboard, and since the update synchronization has been sketchy. It will update steps in the app, but not on my workweek hustle or goal day challenges. Other aspects of sync are slow or take 2-3 syncs to update. Very frustrating.

I have the same issues and when I add water, it displays added on the water screen but not on the new dashboard. I'm beyond frustrated and at a loss how a company as large as fitbit could do such bad software development, none of the other apps I use have these massive bugs and they are just solr developers working on them. How could they release something so critical and so buggy.
It's destroyed my experience....
I know fitbit well, they will never fix this.

Are you kidding me!?!? Fitbit is going to try and charge for their app??? They must be in more financial trouble than I realized 😮 I'm glad I haven't invested any big money in any new devices, after my surge quits I'm done with Fitbit unless they go under sooner.

@Crazy-Fritter, There has to be more than the sleep score to the Premium that's behind a paywall. I am no great source of advice since I still have the old UI. I'll see what it offers and then decide. I'm sorry for your bad experience. Personally, I love my Ionic and have never had the issues that so many describe here. I would get another, probably a versa, when it finally poops out.
I contacted support about the 3.1 syncing problems. They were very responsive and helpful. That issue seems to be solved.

I'd pay them money to remove the sleep score, it's the most irrelevant part of the sleep data.

I'm using 2.38, no issues. Still the best version of the FitBit app. I can see all the current days info I need on one screen without scrolling.

I'm using 3.1 update but see no difference in my dashboard but when I tracked my workout this morning that is different. I have an Samsung Galaxy S8 on Android version 9. I have a Versa tracker not that it matters for the dashboard.

I went back to 2.47 as it allows switching back, through advanced settings to their best interface IMO. It's list style, like the new one but much better and I works :-). And it has no sleep score, I found this just got in the way of the more important stuff and wasn't accurately representing anything useful. 🙂
I expect the new interface is a lead up to another half baked monetisation scheme, as it certainly wasn't done with users in mind. Fitbit were awesome and at their peak in 2017, ever since then everything's been rubbish. I believe they're now fast tracking to selling the business or going bust as you can maintain this level of inadequacy with the other three companies around them growing stronger by the minute.

Thanks @Annie-Charge3 , I’m trying to put the word out on the Fitbit app so folks can preview the “New Experience” on the Fitbit.com before they select the Let’s Go button just because there is no way to go back to old view. I am so glad I came here to see what’s what with this reworked design. I wonder what the total percentage of Fitbit users are that ever log into the Fitbit.com website to check out all these help topics.

Agreed, this dashboard is really functional and usable and offers nice clear messages when you achieve your goals. And anything can be reordered or removed. 2.47 is the last version of this dashboard that allowed switching to new or old. Its worth using that one as it added the sleep stage data that I appreciate.
It's strange, the new one they just released is like a really bad version of this full of bugs, I just don't get it. They should be ashamed of themselves.

He Fitbit Family
Could you make the calories intake part bigger? I costum food items and take some time for it. But all you see of the day is the amount of cals, and percentage of macro nutrients.
It would make me very happy if you could also see the total salt and sugar intake. Maybe even more micro nutrients.
Now it just feels like a waste of time.
Hope to see it in an update!

Hello guys! It's a pleasure for me to continue providing assistance with your doubts regarding the new dashboard design release. My sincere apologies for the delay in responding.
I'd like to share with you that just as per mentioned in previous posts, the new dashboard design it's not directly related to the Fitbit app update, the rollout of the new design started since the Fitbit app update 2.92 just as stated on our help article: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?. Beginning with Fitbit app version 2.92 for iPhone and Android mobile devices, we’re testing a new and improved Fitbit app experience. If you’re invited to opt in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized. For more information about the new dashboard design, I recommend to check the help article mentioned above. Please take in consideration that the rollout is in process, therefore, keep the Fitbit app up to date as well as your mobile device platform version.
We're always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services. That said, the feedback that is shared here in the Community Forums is really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures to make sure that we are delivering what our users are searching for. Thanks for taking the time to share your personal experience with the new dashboard design and your thoughts regarding this process, your posts are really helpful for us.
I'll be around if anything else is needed. Your patience is appreciated.

I am beginning to wonder what the purpose of the fit app.
I am on fitbit android version 3.1.
Can someone please enlighten?
Other than a few setting like changing watch face the whole thing is a dog's dinner, the app is unreliable many of the stats you would like to see like a download of a track, your heartbeat rate throughout the day are only available by logging in to your fitbit.
I welcome fellow users comments

Surely this cannot be right? Fitbit is asking for money to see our own stats?
@RicardoFitbit is this true? Is Fitbit going to hide our data behind a paywall? Because the link you posted about the New Fitbit Experience, does not mention that, at all?

I read what you said but all the sleep data including the graphs, when they work, are all available from the web site that you do not need app to view. Plus you get a lot more information such as tracks.
I stand by my statement the app is a dogs dinner, you cannot sync the app unless you are on line so why not go direct to the web it's a lot more reliable than the fitbit app.
I don't know if any one else has had problems syncing on some networks when I was in Mexico some of the networks would not allow you to sync.
