Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the Google App play store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/23
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

Well, it's nice to know that's what it ought to look like. That whole top section with the useful information is not present, apparently for a lot of us.

I did select the new roll out and now the app is basically useless to me. All I want to see is my steps and those are gone. The dashboard is basically gone. Your article is useless since those items are not there. I see several others have posted the same thing. When is there going to be a reply with some useful information?

I can't see my steps or calorie burn either. It's driving me crazy.

Just spent over an hour on support with them and got nowhere. My main goal is my steps.

My phone seems to have automatically updated.
It is awful.
Can't see steps.
Can't see calories burnt.
Awful platform. Not aesthetically pleasing at all. Not user friendly.
How do I go back? Why has this happened?

As have many others I stated I am very frustrated and find the new layout to be horrible mistake.
I did not opt-in to this trial but the update was forced on me.
I am unable to see my steps or perform simple functions like set an alarm.
I have used fitbits religiously for the 3 years but if the functionally of the app isnt improved I will be in the market for a new fitness tracker

Just a PSA but make sure to vote for all these posts. If you want fitbit to change or do anything they go by what had been voted on for a lot of things.

Will someone at Fitbit respond to all these issues with no steps showing, please? This is ridiculous.

After the update, this is what the screen looks like for most of us! There Is no way to add or see the current steps! Why? Even when you try and add more things, steps is not one of them. This is insanity! When you click on the Discover button to add more things, it gives you a number of options. The Health & Wellness Stats is the one that adds the stuff we normally use like Sleep, Heart Rate, Hourly Steps, Weight, Water, Food, Etc. The "Exercise" tab when added does not show steps anywhere. Fitbit, please acknowledge this is a problem and let us know what you're doing to fix it.

@Verminator14 what happens if you select "edit" at the top. On the next screen I have options for "hide all" / "show all" which toggles on/off the main dashboard with steps calories etc

Don't bother...new dashboard is useless.
Doesnt even sow your steps...widget doesnt work.

@SteveH when you hit the edit button in the upper right-hand corner, the only thing that allows you to do is to move the placements, or order, that they appear. Still no option to view your steps. Here's a screenshot.

@Verminator14 this is what it should look like:
The old dashboard used to not show the main dashboard items if the fitbit was no longer connected. I'm wondering if the problem is with the app not giving the options or the app has removed your fitbit. Are you able to tell from your screen?

I dont have this option on the edit either... wish i did 😞
I presume there is a glitch in the system... but its not on

So..... How do I get that top section that actually tells me my daily stats???? It's nice to have some customization, but there's a BIG piece missing from many peoples' app!!

I opted in to see the beta version and I did not have to do any customizing to be able to see the top portion showing my steps, stairs etc. It's very interesting that so many people are missing that section. I would be upset too.
