It's great to see you here @Lasers and thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. If your tracker is not syncing with your phone, I recommend following our syncing troubleshoot, after these steps your tracker should sync without an inconvenience.
Let me know the outcome.

I had the exact same thing happen once my phone installed version 2.37 (2183057).
I've restarted my fitbit several times, and my phone, and toggled bluetooth. Nothing that usually works worked.

I tried unpairing and repairing it and now it's detecting it and complaining about "Bluetooth issues" during the pairing process.

I've had the same issue, since updating to Version 2.37 of the Android App. I hope enough people have this issue that the fine Fitbit folks get it repaired quickly.

What I wrote on another post:
Have had Fitbits for quite a while, first a Flex, then a Charge HR now a Charge 2, which I got in October. It synced like a champ right from the start, allowed me to log exercise from my wrist and the text, calendar and phone call notifications were truly useful.
And then on Monday I installed the update to version 2.37. Syncing is a chore now and it does not maintain a connection for notifications or for logging exercise.
Instead, I get a message that it is syncing but it usually does not or a notification that Bluetooth is not working and needs to be restarted,
To get it to sync, I have to log out of the app, restart my phone, delete old data and reset the Fitbit Charge 2...Every **darned** time.
I've had it happen before, with previous Fitbits and app versions, where an update ruins syncing and Fitbit has always fixed it before too terribly long. So I have faith you will get it fixed. Thanks!
I'm using a Moto G Version 3 with Android 6.

I have been able to sync my Charge 2 to my Windows 10 desktop app using the USB dongle from my Charge HR, so it's certainly an Android issue.
But the syncing problem with Android ruins the ability to get text, calendar and phone notifications and control exercise from the Fitbit. So using windows is not a fix.

Joining the gang on this problem. My android phone upgraded the fitbit app to 2.37 this morning and now my Charge HR won't sync. I tired all the troubleshooting steps (twice) and still nothing - all I am able to do is configure a reset fitbit. After that connection is made, the tracker is never found again.
Everything was working fine before V2.37

Something really weird happened - I followed the restart procedure (pressing the button while charging until the logo appears) so I could connect this to WIndows. I had my phone with me and the Fitbit app open when I tried to connect to Windows and before doing so, the phone app connected and synced, without going through the "device config". The tracker definitely restarted so I expected to enter a code but instead the phone just started talking to it and it worked the rest of the day.
BUT - wake up this morning, turn the phone on, and nothing. No sync. I've been trying for a few hours now.
What is going on FitBit? How did this go from perfect to unreliable in a single upgrade?

I gave up. I've done what @Scott_ did - installed the Win10 app and connected via the dongle. I will wait until the next android app update and then see if it's fixed. (BTW - My Charge HR works great with the dongle and Win10, but I really want this to work on my phone...)
