April 6th 2019 the app stopped working. It tries to load then I get a message that the app stopped working. Sometimes it loads and attempts to sync, but then I get the message the app stopped working. One time the app claimed it could not find the tracker before it crashed. I restarted the Fitbit. I tried unistalling the app and reinstalling the app. Connected to wifi.

@Kure Sync your fitbit to make sure that the most recent exercise data is backed up to Fitbit servers. Now, assuming you're on Android, open Settings on your phone, go to Apps, go to Fitbit, go to Storage, and tap clear storage and clear cache. Reboot your phone. You will have to log back in to Fitbit app and grant all the permissions, and set up all your notifications, quick replies, etc. again. Your Fitbit workout stats will not be lost as they will be re-downloaded from the cloud.

Hello @Ziptag, it's nice to see you around the Community! Thanks for restarting your device and for uninstalling and reinstalling your Fitbit app. Nice way to go!
Please make sure that your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version (2.91). See: How do I update the app to the latest version?
In addition, I'd recommend to clear the cache of the app: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app (This may vary depending of the Android device and the OS version). Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
If the issue continue and the app keeps crashing, make sure you have Wi-Fi or mobile Data always On when you are using the Fitbit app. Sometimes the app will crash while is loading information that require internet connection.
I've moved your post to the Android app as there are more chances to get related replies here.
Let me know if the steps work, I'll be around.

My iPhone 6 with up to date IOS cannot be used with my fitbit app under the tracking components. I have done a full phone reset, uninstalled the app multiple times, cleared the cache, contacted Fitbit, kept wifi on, airplane mode both off and on, Bluetooth off and on. I can open the app but if I select apps to discover or try to open sleep tracking or any other tracking the screen goes black. The device is a Charge 3. Bought new. My phone previously ran a charge 2 with app. Please advise.

I am on ios. I updated Fitbit app to version 3.6 today.. After that, the app is crashing while loading. I deleted and reinstalled the App; restarted my phone few times; made sure WiFi and Mobile data is "on"; but to no avail. Is there a way we can roll back to previous version? Or, is it some server problem?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Ash1eyBut1er and @Odetoraja Fitbit released a new app 3.6.1 yesterday. Many have returned to the forums to say it's taken care of the problem. Try that and see how it works for you.

@Odetoraja just install the new app. The data is actually on your account safely stored on the Fitbit servers. Let us know how things go for you.

@Odetoraja thank you for getting back! Since your Fitbit device is still unable to turn on, I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest.
After trying those steps, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

Do you have a micro SD card. If you do, you wanna go to storage, go to apps on the SD, and press change. Change it to internal storage. this immediately fixed it for me

I'm having the same problem, only it seems when I try to look at the list of completed exercises. If I click on exercises it crashes the app.
