This problem started while using my old phone (Oppo F1s - 2017) and has now continued even after I purchased a new phone (Oppo A57 - 2017 - Android version 6.0.1). After downloading the app it opens once, however, the next time I try to open it I get a blank white screen. Nothing happens, the app does not open so you cannot force it to close. The only way to access the app is if I delete and reinstall it. Very frustrating, I'm about to sell my fitbit and find another device.

Hey there @tinybeads, thanks for stopping by here and already troubleshooting this inconvenience.
Besides what you've tried, I'd recommend doing the following:
Don't uninstall your app, just follow the steps suggested. If you keep getting the white screen, please send me a screen shot showing that, I'll go from there.
I'll be around!

Hey there @lcadew, it's nice to see you around the forums! At this time, neither Oppo F1s not Oppo A57 are currently not on our list of supported devices (maybe that's why your app is crashing). This means that our Android team has not yet tested it for compatibility and added it to the list what means that we don't have a estimated date on when it will be added. I
I recommend setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a Windows 10/Mac computer with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 running the Fitbit Software. Our Android team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates! I will also make sure to update you in this thread when your device is added to the supported devices list. ![]()

Best AnswerHi Maria,
I'm having exactly the same issue on the same phone (Oppo A57).
It's simply a phone running Android. A well built app shouldn't have issues with individual phones to the point where it's unusable. Can you please add a +1 from me for your Android team to look at adding Oppo's onto the supported list.
I was excited initially, but this has really killed the joy of getting a new Fitbit.
Hi, that is a +1 from me too, I have the same issue with my Oppo F1s. Agreed this is an Android phone which should be supported. It may not be a Samsung but Oppo phones are popular enough, they even sell them at woolworths. Very disappointing for those of us who spent the money on a fitbit and cannot use the app.

Hey guys @Mrtree76 @lcadew @bearbit, thanks for jumping in and getting back! Can you all confirm if the issue you're having is a white screen or a "Fitbit.com is unavailable." error message at Login?
If you are having either of those errors, this has been already reported. Our team is aware and actively investigating the root cause of this issue. In the meantime,
Thanks for your patience! Will keep you all posted.

Best AnswerI'm having the same issue with the oppo phone, and it's just a white screen. It used to work fine, so don't know why it won't now. I have to delete and install it every time.
Best Answer@ANnager15 as,suggested by others, have you tried clearring the Fitbit app's cache?
Phone settings - application - Fitbit - clear cache

Best AnswerMarre, I have a iPhone 6 and have had my Charge2 for about 6 months. I have installed the firmware update on the Charge2.
Before the Charge2 I had an earlier Fitbit / same phone. App has always worked UNTIL I updated the app to the latest version, 2.40. Now the app shows a white screen.
I have tried -
- rebooting my phone - didn't help
- deleting the app and re-loading it - this works ONCE, immediately after the app is downloaded. When I close the app to save battery power, then re-open it later in the day, I see only the white screen again. Then I have to delete the app and start over.
Can you help?

Maria,
Thanks very much for your response and helpful suggestions.
I had already deleted my Fitbit app from my phone and re-installed it before I saw your response. This ensured that it was up to date. I did do the other steps you recommended, and my app now works fine.
Best, Mary

The accepted procedure to overcome this issue (as detailed below) has also been successful on my laptop using Windows 10 operating system.
Best AnswerHow can I logoff when the app won't stay open?
@Ruffles722 may I ask what the issue is that your having? If you want to log off of an android device. You could go to phone settings, applications, Fitbit, storage, clear data.
Best AnswerClearing the apps data or removing and reloading the Fitbit app should also work. I was asking @Ruffles722 since this is their first post in the forum.
Best AnswerFitbit app suddenly started crashing after working for two months. It just won’t launch. Tried suggested fix twice without success
