Every time I get in my Ford Explorer, my Galaxy Note 5 syncs with the car. Every time I get near my Samsung Gear Fit 2, It syncs with my Note 5. Every time I get near my Sony Smartwatch 3 it syncs with my Note 5. Why, why why does Fitbit give me so much trouble? It's like Fitbit is from another planet. This is nuts!

@stringbob thanks for joining us. I'm a little confused here... so you are saying that your Fitbit isn't syncing with your Samsung Galaxy Note 5? Do let me know. Now, please note that if your Android device is managing multiple Bluetooth connections simultaneously then your Fitbit tracker might stop syncing or stop receiving call, text, and calendar notifications. Also, you might experience interruptions with any consistently streaming Bluetooth connection such as headsets, car kits, stereo audio, tethering, and file transfers.
These interruptions are typically caused by an operating system limitation on many Android mobile devices. It's also possible that an app on your phone is causing the issue. We recommend trying these steps:
- Make sure the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app is turned off. Tap the tracker tile twice to find this setting.
- Disable other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
- Check to see if your mobile device has an app compatible with Ford Motor Company's voice control system. If so, you'll need to disable Bluetooth on the app if possible or uninstall it.
The API used in these apps makes it difficult for Fitbit to communicate reliably with your mobile device. Ford provides a list of apps but note that other companies may use the API as well.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

exclamation mark inside the red circle error. I have tried many things, and
the most consistent temporary fix is to shut down bluetooth on the phone,
and turn it back on again. Bottom line is, Surge will not sync unless it is
at the top of the devices list.
Strangely enough, the most success I've had with constant syncing was when
I deleted the Surge from the BT list. Surge was not to be seen on the list,
yet is continually sync'd. (Wifi?)
What's perplexing is that Fitbit's seasoned technology can't play with
other devices. My Smartwatch 3 and my Samsung Gear Fit 2 work flawlessly.
What is it that makes Fitbit so different from other trackers?
