@iangmunt I would strongly recommend that you post on the Aria 2 board to get assistance with your scale. I'm sure that you will find the answer that you are looking for.

Most syching issues can be resolved with a Fitbit device reboot.

So I went to my Bluetooth and removed my Alta HR and restarted the phone but when I went to set up a new device it said that there is an Alta HR already connected to my account. Do I click on "Set up a new Alta HR"?

Hello @dancnfool and @MamaLori.

@MamaLori Yes, please. Tap on that and then follow the process as if it was a brand new Alta HR. That should help out.

@dancnfool Glad to read that. Hopefully everything is working correctly without any hiccups!

If there are any further questions, please let me know.

Okay - I tried adding my Alta as a brand new product. Went through the whole set-up procedure and notifications process. When I click on "Send Test Call" that part works (the calling feature never stopped working) but the text feature STILL does not work. I have had this Fitbit for one year and one week...it literally quit working correctly the same time the warranty ran out. I am running out of options and patience.

I am stuck. Mt fitbit stopped syncing last Monday. I followed the steps outlined in this forum to no avail. When I attempt to sync, the app states it has found my device and attempts to sync, Then it never does. What can I do to fix this?

Best Answer
It is a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. It has the Android 4.4 operating system. I know that it's not compatible with the newest Fitbit update that came out on 8-6 but it is supposed to still work for the text/call Notification feature.

Mine stopped syncing again and again to both on phone and ipad.  Getting sick of having to uninstall then reinstall everytime.  Fitbit need to fix their app.  Thinking about changing to Garmin....might save the frustration fitbit is always causing!!

I have replied to this twice already and my response keeps disappearing...hopefully third time will be a charm!

I talked with the support team and it appears that the updates in the first part of August had a flaw that made the text notifications inoperable. There was a patch in a later update but since my phone has the Android 4.4 rather than the 5.0 version, my phone can't read the patch. Fitbit cannot revert my Alta to the earlier version which worked fine, so because of an update I did not ask for, I can't retrieve the features that were most important to me. I am not going to spend the money to buy a new phone so I will just stop using my Fitbit except on specific occasions, such as when I am taking a hike. Frankly, I am pretty disappointed in the response I got!

(The tech did suggest going online and downloading an "unmentionable on this thread" file with the previous version but I am not comfortable adding some unknown app to my phone and giving it permissions to access all of my info!)

@MamaLori, there is an old version of the app on the Amazon app store. The version showing in mine is 2.63. I have it on my Kindle as a backup for when fitbit put out a duff update. It is a rather basic version but it is "official".

May be better than nothing for you.

Also I think it is disgusting that fitbit have totally f***** your app. When I saw the change of minimum requirements I had a feeling someone would get caught in the crossfire. They should not have done that until 4.4 version was working correctly.
