@MamaLori you are most welcome. I am just glad I was able to find something to help you. Hopefully this will keep you going until you actually need to update your phone.

Cheers.

Hi, I've tried all the steps without acces!

If you have an Android 4.4 it will not work. If you have access to the Amazon App store you can download the older version that they have. I did it and now I am getting text/call notifications again.

Hello @MamaLori@Lilbiddy and @TLH63.

@MamaLori Glad to read that a different version of the app helped out so that your Fitbit starts working for you.

Please do remember to keep the conversation respectful and constructive.

@TLH63 What android phone are you using? Also, what was the first device that you used to sync your Fitbit? The phone or the iPad?

Look forward to your reply.

@YojanaFitbit hi!

This is the thread I was referring to. Being a bit of a luddite I don't know how to link it to the other one, sorry.

Hey @Lilbiddy and @TLH63.

@TLH63 Let's try to go into the iPad Bluetooth settings. Once you are there, look for your Fitbit and remove it from that list. Then try to sync your Fitbit once again with your Samsung phone and it should do the trick.

Let me know if there is anything else that I can do for you.

Hello @Dhathi. Welcome to the Forums @Fitnflag.

@Fitnflag Glad to read that you got them to work correctly!

@Dhathi That sounds bothersome. Did you try following the same steps as last time? If not, please give them a shot and let us know how it goes.

If you did try the steps I'd like to ask some questions:

  • What phone are you using?
  • What Android version are you running?
  • Do you get any error messages? If so, what do they say?

Look forward to your reply.

I have tried these steps for syncing my Inspire device to Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro. When I open the app after restarting, it starts syncing automatically and shows "steps" data and tries to sync further but stops after sometime and last sync is the old sync. When I tried setting up the device, it gives an error message "Network operation failed, fitbit.com is down for maintenance - Cancel/Retry".

I have tried following things - cleared cache, phone reboot, uninstall and install, again clearing cache, unpairing and then trying to sync.

When I tried to sync with Inspire using bluetooth, a message pops up "An app is needed to sync this device" and vanishes. Earlier it used to sync with this method.

Charge HR 3

Cause: forgetting my phone up north for over a week.

What worked for me.

Quick restart my phone (hold power button 8 seconds until it vibrated)

It seems to have missed some steps and active minutes over the last few days. I’m ok with that.

Me too on the syncing problem, my Charge 4 has never done a time zone change without my interaction, and the interaction is different each time. A recent data synch required a factory reset after trying all the suggested methods. (Data was fortunately saved by using my iPad to access the FitBit.) I suspect that FitBit updates, device and app, are only to accommodate the new production, with inserted code potentially over-riding previous security, bug, and feature fixes.
