Hello @Katie123666, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I was reading you are experiencing syncing issues with your Samsung S8. If the issue persists, please give it a try to the following suggestions: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

Used to be able to sync on S8 but it seems like recent updates broke things pretty badly.

Did all the recommended steps. Look around here and at the latest reviews of the app on Google Play. It's not working for a lot of people.

I haven't seen any real responses from fitbit to this widespread issue.

Welcome aboard @J_C_L and good to see you @Sonshine10. My apologies for the late response. I'm wondering how it goes, is the syncing issues still persisting?

After your posts we have released new versions of the Fitbit app, which I'm sure you have installed already. Nonetheless it would not hurt to review this update, as the new version contain stability improvements.

I was having a similar experience with my S8+. After the update I reset the app, so this might give you some extra help is the issue continue: Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. (This may vary depending of the Android device and the OS version)

Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Stay tuned if you need more help. See you later!

Hi,

I tried all of that, Android and Fitbit up are up to date.

It simply won't work.

I worked fine before with Nexus, Windows phones and I just don't understan what is happening. It is sometimes not even recognised by S8 and when it is, it displays a message: Pairing rejected by Fitbit.

I have a Fitbit Flex 1, so I haven't had any issues in the 4 years I have had it.
