Just yesterday my phone stopped syncing with the Fitbit. I tried logging out if my account and logging back in. I can see the steps taken on my device (Alta) but not on my phone. It is a new replacement phone. I downloaded the Fitbit app and everything worked for a day. Now I get the message 'no device found'. ??????
Moderator edit: Clarified subject
The most recent update made my watch work like I've dreamt of from day one. For one day. Now it's worse than ever and app keeps saying "device not found." I've spent way too much of my life trying to troubleshoot a Versa. Such a disappointing product.
Just gave up. Ordered a Samsung Fit because it seems like Fitbit dosent care. Out of curiosity I'm wondering how well the sync goes if you hav paid for the extras?
Best AnswerI gave up. I had a great working charge2 for over a year until the infamous update. I've gotten all kinds of suggestions from customer support, and all the "Sorry" and "We know its it's frustrating". I was ready to upgrade, but wanted to wait till it was fixed. Times up. New Samsung product is on its way. Fitbit is going thecway of jawbone! Time to stay away.
Struggling with the same irritating error showing up every day, on Xiaomi A2 Lite with Android 9.
Besides:
1) restarting the phone which helps but is tedious,
I have realized that:
2) FORCE STOPPING the FitBit app helps every time (phone Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Fitbit)
Less frustrating than restarting every day, but still massively frustrating. 😞
Hope this helps.
Best AnswerAre you saying the phone was compatible, and now the phone is to blame?
Best AnswerYes I went as far as to buy the Inspire HR thanksgiving thinking that the issue was my Flex 2 was old, but still the same issue, Device not Found.
Best AnswerI even bought a samsung fit, and was still having the same problems. Funny how support at both companies could give me no answers. My theory now is that due to some update the bluetooth isnt as strong as it once was. I used to put my phone on a charger in the kitchen about 20 feet from my bedroom. For well over a year that worked well, then suddenly it stopped. As an experiment, I moved the charger next to my bed. It has not lost connection since.
Best AnswerJust bought Vesa2 1/9/2020 and have a Pixel 2 phone. Already day 1 and 2 it intermittently will not find device when attempting to sync. I have to turn off and back on my phone Bluetooth to re-establish a sync. This is definitely a flaw with the Fitbit. I have no issue with any other Bluetooth device and the phone and Versa 2 have the latest updates.
Best AnswerTried that many times. Even went as far as to totally delete the app, reset the fitbit, reinstall and re start. Still same problem. Fitbit had no answer.
Best AnswerSo after fighting with constant watch reboots and app force restarts to sync, suddenly in December things improved and my Ionic started syncing and giving notifications as it used to. Thought hopefully Fitbit had fixed the problem with the software, however 3 weeks into January and it's worse than ever. Constant error "no device found" takes multiple watch reboots and app restarts to get a sync and I can forget about notifications!
Hoped the Google takeover would mean Fitbit would start fixing this problem not make it worse!
Best AnswerSo what's the word? Has the Fitbit app become any better? Just curious. I never could get things to work properly and moved to a Samsung Fit, which I have had problems with, but they got it straightened out in less than a month. I gave Fitbit 6 months to get it straightened out and kept getting the same answer.
Best AnswerI was thinking the same, why stick around something that is not working. I was having issues before last update, but now my device is not found. And clearly I am not spending my time and energy on this anymore. My recommendation is change is needed, not going to stick around waiting for it. Buy a smartwatch and best of luck.
I moved over to Garmin, and thus far have been very happy with it. No plans to go back at this point, they need to fix what is fundamentally wrong with their processes. I waited an entire year with no marked improvement in performance. Glimmers of hope here and there that never fully fixed anything. That they have KNOWN issues with the notifications going to my watch and indicate no plans to fix it, shows a complete disregard for their customer base (most of whom do not want to have to purchase a new watch every year or two due to built in and planned obsolescence).
