@Loveforrun and @Ksteir Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
I see where your disappointment is coming from. I appreciate the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. I moved your posts to this board as it's more related to the topic.
In this case, I'd like you to double check that your app or Fitbit tracker isn't recording a workout in the background, this could be the reason why this message is displaying.
If you have checked the above and still getting this error message, let's try the following if you haven't tried it:
- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Clear the app cache
- Restart your phone
- Log back in
If you're still experiencing this, attach a screenshot to your next reply and let me know the phone model and OS installed.
Hope this helps.

I'm getting the same message, absolutely annoying, I've tried to turn off the phone, gps, cleared cache, cleared data, uninstalled the app etc, nothing works, and it sucks battery too.

I am hoping Fitbit responds to this. I read a similar post from 2019 where
the issue it seems was App version.

Thanks @SilviaFitbit for the suggestions !
@Ksteir for me it was the fitbit tracker. It's solved now.
