How to add someone who you have only got there username of ?

Hi
I am wondering how I can add someone to my fit bit friends list ?
I haven't got there tel number / email/ Facebook ect!
He gave me his user name but I can't find him to add!!
Can anyone help ?

click on the avatar of the person you are in a thread with

click go to their profile

click +friend and it autocomposes an invite you can personalize if you wish

You will get a "sent successfully" notice.

I just sent you one so you can see what it looks like on your end.

You can have up to 2000 friends. You won't see them in your friends list until they accept.

Hello, @wmchapman, @Lissiloo36! Where you able to add your friend? 

 

You can also try to type in the user name in the search box, by following these instructions:

 

1. Go to the Community

2. Select the search tool at the upper right corner by clicking on the little glass magnifier

3. Select the option users instead of posts

4. Type in the user name
