@Fl.Gal Welcome to the Fitbit Community.
I moved your post to this board, in an effort to keep the forums organized. To scan food:
- From the Today tab
- On Android phones (OS 6.0+), make sure you allow the Fitbit app to access requested features on your phone. For more information, see What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?
- Tap the barcode icon and place your item's entire barcode in the scanning area. If your item is in our database, you'll see a summary. Otherwise, you'll see the option to submit it.
- Adjust the quantity and save.
Note that at this time, barcode scanning is only available for customers using the United States food database. If you use another food database, the barcode scanning option won't work. To check which food database you're using, see How do I change my food database?

Food tabs, the highlighted TODAY tab and food logs, but after scouring the
app on my phone and chromebook, I don't see a barcode icon. If you can
help, that'd be great, thankyou

Does your log food screen look like this on your phone?
The barcode scanner is the third from the right.
