Does anyone know how can I get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!. I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

Agree completely. this sleep score that's forced upon us is completely useless and an arbitrary number that Fitbit came up with. Please revert this change ASAP and give us back the useful information that we had before (and not by making us pay for a premium membership)!!

I am researching alternatives to fitbit now. As with others posting here, the Sleep Score is useless to me. I want to see my average sleep time in order to gauge my overall sleep habits. The Sleep Score does not provide any guidance or reference to how I am actually sleeping. It is a cop-out to satisfy some group of fitbit fans who are just looking for a grade or score to compare with others. (Everyone gets a trophy).
Sorry, but your development team botched this one. Without the option to switch between the Avg. Sleep and Sleep Score, you are and will continue to lose customers.

Just got this horrid "update" and agree entirely.
Sleep score is useless. Bring back the old hours analysis, then allow people to choose between the two.
As sleep analysis is the main extra function of the FitBit I use, and why I bought it in the first place, I now have a rather expensive watch. Can't say I'd be interested in buying FitBit products in future with the sleep hours feature broken like this.

What is everyone high on? The number of hours slept has NOT been replaced anywhere in the app! That is still there, at every turn. Does it require two extra clicks? Obviously, since it's a small screen and only so much can be displayed at once. It's hardly the end of the world, count it towards your daily calories.
If you don't like the sleep score, then don't look at it and stop moaning because other users (myself included) LOVE it. I gather there are more of us than you but you don't see us cause we don't need to log in and mention it.
Fitbit, if you're reading, keep up the great work. You're still the only health care gadget provider

^^^ quoth the butt-hurt developer?
"We're totally the... silent majority! There are tens of us! Tens, I tell you! Well, no, I don't exactly have any evidence as such... but.. I'm.. sure I'm right!"
Actually, it's three extra swipes and then you have to press a tiny icon each time you want to view it. REALLY CONVENIENT, HUH?! Such an improvement!
Also, some functionality is in fact lost because you can no longer compare your weekly averages at a glance by scrolling down.

Well I came here looking for a way to get my average weekly sleep hours back. Looks like I’m not the only one. I work swing shifts. I got this FitBit specifically for this task. I have days where I don’t sleep at all and those where I’ll sleep 12 hours. This score is useless. I was in the process of looking into upgrading my FitBit. If this isn’t corrected, I won’t be. Time to start looking at other devices.

I personally am not high on anything. Thus, I am able to discern the difference between "number of hours slept" and "average hours of sleep per week". No one in this thread is disputing the ability to see the former, it is the latter that has gone missing. Perhaps you aren't actually getting enough sleep, or you would have grasped what we are all complaining about.

Average sleep score only averages the days you have a sleep score. If you have one or more days without a sleep score (say you didn't have enough sleep for a sleep score to register) then your average score looks good, when in fact, you had a very poor score!
I also don't like that the weeks previous to when the sleep score was set up are now at zero sleep score!

Note the average score works only if you have a sleep score everyday. If something happens that a score didn't register, it doesn't add that day into your average!

@LizzyFitbit, The previous weekly average was an average for each specific week. I could easily compare week to week. The new method is a rolling average. It also has the benefit of giving a rolling average for a month.
It is an extra 2 clicks and 3 swipes to get to. The same rolling average for sleep score is one click.
I think the sleep score is great for those who have a use for it. I suspect that the majority of users fit the statistical averages that the score was meant for. I don't want it to go away. However, I would like to see the weekly average be for time slept instead of sleep score, as it is more useful to me. Alternatively, swapping the Sleep Score and Hours Slept panels would also work me. Having 1 click to see the rolling average is more acceptable to the current 2 and 3 method.
I took a look at how the score gets calculated. I don't see how it will help in my situation. It has been determined that when I am fully rested with normal stress, I need 6 hours 40 minutes of sleep. After that I spend increasingly more time awake. The greater amount of sleep is inefficient and non-productive. If I get less sleep for a night or two, then I need to make it up. Thus I watch my weekly average to know when I have recovered from the sleep deficit.
I have also noted that my amount of REM and deep sleep usually match what my mind an body experienced the day before. The Sleep Score would not take that into account.
I turned off the Sleep Insights for similar reasons. Many of the suggestions didn't match my situation.
Thank you @LizzyFitbit for your response to the topic and have a Terrific day!

I would just like to reiterate that SOME phones do NOT have access to this magical "3 swipes to the left and then click" that supposedly brings you back to "average hours of sleep per week".
On my Motorola G5 plus:
1st sleep screen = "Hours Slept"
1st swipe to the left = "Sleep Schedule"
2nd swipe to the left = "Times Awake"
3rd swipe to the left = NADA. There IS NO "Sleep Stages" screen. I can swipe to the left till I rub a hole in my phone display. It does NOTHING. It stays stuck right on the "Times Awake" screen.
If someone can point me to where I can find Average Hours of Sleep per Week on MY phone, great. It is not that I'm too lazy to swipe or click the 5 extra times the developer saw fit to implement. As far as I can tell, the feature has been entirely removed and simply does not EXIST anymore. And yes, I have the latest, and not-so-great, version of the FitBit app installed.

I've got a Samsung S9 and I can get to it but wow it took me scrolling through this feed several times to figure out where I have to find it.
Loads to Sleep Score
1st Swipe Hours Slept
2nd Swipe Sleep Schedule
3rd swipe Hours in Sleep Stages

According to some of the other posts, if you click on a little box in the top right hand corner of the Sleep Stages screen, it will bring up Average Hours of Sleep for that particular week (no week by week comparison). You might try that on your Samsung.
The problem on my phone is that the app gives me no Sleep Stages screen.

Glad to add that I too really want the old sleep avg back. Glad my Charge 2 is about to bite the dust...will be researching what other similar products offer. The last update has ruined my charger's use to me.

Sounds like you didn't get the update that Android users got. The latest update removed average hours of sleep for us, and this "sleep score" doesn't calculate for us and always displays as a zero. There are no subscreens for us to drill down and see average hours anymore.

Add another user frustrated with this. Sleep score is just a silly, arbitrary fictitious number Fitbit is using to try to differentiate from other tools out there. Hey look at us, we have a proprietary sleep score! A number with no explanation as to what comprises it has no value to me, and probably to most. Just give us the summary screen we had before and not your marketing department's clever attempt at product differentiation.

Hi everyone. I'm glad to see you here in the Community and thanks for the information provided. Let me continue helping you.
I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts about the sleep scores. I understand how helpful was to see the average sleep time in the Fitbit app and I'm sorry for the inconvenience that you've experienced after this change. While currently it's intended to see the sleep score average, our team will review the feedback shared in the Community to work on our products and improve our overall environment. For more details about the sleep score and how it's calculated, please check this help article.
As mentioned above, you can still see the average sleep time in the Fitbit app by tapping on the sleep tile, swiping from right to left on the graph and tapping on the arrows icon to maximize the view. See the pictures below:
@Vindo, thanks for letting me know that the Fitbit app is updated, and I'm sorry that the sleep stages screen isn't displayed. This sounds odd and just to confirm, may I know the model of your Fitbit device? Have you made sure it's tracking heart rate? Sleep stages are generated based on your sleep data and heart rate data, which at the end brings sleep scores.
If you need anything else, let me know.
