Does anyone know how can I get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!. I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

Would love to but my Play Store is not showing an update for Fitbit. I had one a few days ago (could have been an older update as I update manually )but my Average Sleep was not restored.

UPDATE: Now I can't even get the sleep hour averages even though I slide it to the left. They're just totally gone! 😡
I just checked my update. It was 3 days ago, the latest update and it didn't restore my sleep hour averages 😥 I can get them by doing all that sliding but I don't want to have to do that. Arggg

Yeah, I think so too, I tried the update recently but I ended up reinstalling the app. Then I had synching issues throughout the afternoon. Ever since the massive upgrade, I have seen nothing but problems. Challenge information goes wonky. Sleep score is a random number. And when I am in challenges and trying to beat my goal steps, the watch doesn't catch all my steps. I'm thinking one of these times I will log on and won't be able to get on.

You must be lucky. I know many of my friends here have emailed Fitbit Support. They seem to respond more quickly if some scammer reports us. We are swamped with so many scammers every day. If sleep score was a concern to Fitbit Support like it was with us, it would either be gone or we can choose whether to use it and degrade our sleep efforts.

Now I can't even get the average sleep figure even by sliding to the left. It's not there. Arrrgggg! And this is all on my Versa, after my Charge 2 totally died when i was recharging it one day. It was only a year and a month old. I won't get another Fitbit until they improve the warranty anf deal with issues like this.

I agree with everyone here commenting on the sleep score being useless. I've been sleeping terribly all week, fighting with insomnia, and yet my average sleep score is 80! This has to stop being the only option. Some people might actually like the sleep score but it shouldn't be arbitrarily forced upon others who do not find it useful or insightful.

It’s just so poor, at least give the option to downgrade the upgrade, if you know what I mean. My family are not doing the upgrade because of this. I wish someone had told me!

Yes! I, too, wish I hadn’t done the upgrade that changed the format, including taken away average hours slept. I wish I could understand the thinking behind this crazy idea. Assigning us a score?? I mean, really. Are we in school? Those sores aren’t accurate, anyway. We can get a higher score for less sleep. I don’t know why these companies:
1) change things that work well!
2) don’t listen to their consumers
3) include the original post when we hit reply so the recipient knows what we’re replying to. I get reams of posts about the sleep change, but sometimes don’t understand exactly what the person is replying to.

Here are my guesses:
1) change things that work well!
I think this was designed to get money. Have a score that you have to pay to understand.
2) don’t listen to their consumers
Communications don't listen because it's too much of an effort for the customers to switch. Might be the same kind of logic. You're used to this watch and you don't want to spend money on another one.
3) include the original post when we hit reply so the recipient knows what we’re replying to. I get reams of posts about the sleep change, but sometimes don’t understand exactly what the person is replying to.
This one is harder to come up with a reason, but I'll try. If you include the original post, that after many replies that post becomes too long to see the original. Many sites just layer the replies, but that's a different question 🙂

Does this go away if you revert to an older version of the app? I noticed a lot of people reverting to 2.90 and 2.95 to get their notifications working. As these are pre the new format does it solve the problem if you are not interested in the new bells and whistles. Has anyone here had any experience with this?

I'm on an Android and there's not an option to revert to an older version. Wish I could.

Just adding to the discussion about sleep scores versus sleep time: I had a surprise this morning when I looked at the sleep screen. The average sleep times were there! I actually did a double take because of the shock. Then later I when I reopened the app, they were gone and the sleep scores were back. I wondered if the average times were there because I had closed the app while on the sleep time screen, so I tried closing (swiping away) the app while on the screen with the sleep time bars. When I reopened the app and went to the sleep screen, the average times were there, but only briefly. After about a second, they were replaced with sleep scores. I tried it several more times with the same results. It is maddening that Fitbit could easily restore this feature but chooses to snatch it (literally) away from its users.

Sorry for your condition - it sounds like a huge challenge. God speed in finding the exact device you need.

I have very severe sleep apnea. I must get 7 hours of sleep per day. I can only get this much by sleeping in two hour naps and then a 1 hour nap. I now need to keep track of my sleep time with a stopwatch. Since Fitbit has chosen to eliminate this feature, and since I will die if I do not track my sleep, I must leave the Fitbit Community.

Fitbit was a wonderful organization years ago, but since the buy-out they have developed a corporate culture of arrogance, as this incident shows. They should take a look at GM, Sears, Wards, PG&E, Boeing, etc. to see where a corporate culture of arrogance leads.
