I can't get a straight answer on this question. I get text messages on Charge 4 but when I tap Open in order to reply, screen goes nowhere. I'm using Textra which showed up as a default SMS service. I'm Android phone Galaxy Note 8. Verbiage says only Android allows Replies. I've checked Textra app, get nothing to address this, checked Fitbit App for same and nothing there. Running the latest update, I think.
Any help here? Not a game-changer, but annoying. 🙂

Hi there. You can’t reply to a message on a Fitbit watch. You will need to open messages or your message app on your device. I use my iPad. Also, maybe try settings>notifications and so on to make it so you see the message in full. Or maybe you are not tapping it correctly.
hope this helps

Hi @MMom - I’m moving your post to the Android forum since this is an Android issue. I am an Apple gal and can say for sure that you may not respond to text messages on a Fitbit device if they are coming from an iPhone. You should be able to reply so a message sent from an Android phone to your Fitbit ... but you can only send Quick Replies. You can read more about it here. The folks in the Android forum may be better able to answer specific questions.

With an Apple phone, apple has blocked this feature.
Let's get back to the tracker.
Tap the notification on the tracker. This rap opens the beginning of the message. You can then tap reply, if your an android fan.
Tapping Open will open the message up on the phone,it on the tracker. @MMom your tap to open is working fine, and will open the message up on the phone.

If you have an iOS phone, no you will not be able to reply from the Charge 4 @MMom
Tapping open is suppose to open the message on the phone. Tapping the header will open some of the message on the wrist.
If you have an android. Tap the message, read the message on your wrist. Then tap reply.

Why have Apple blocked this feature. It would be so good for us to be able to send quick replies 😭. But we can’t so I can’t help as I am not familiar with Android

@Geecee09 - I agree - it would be nice. But Apple wants you to buy an Apple Watch so they make it difficult/impossible for their biggest competitor to use Apple features.

Yes. This is really annoying. But this is like Microsoft and google prohibit access. Eg: Microsoft make it so you can’t search and use google on edge as they want you to use chrome. Pretty bad analogy but I think it works.
Apple are very touchy with these things. Apple store does not allow you to get a lot of apps and it doesn’t let you use google play to get them,
great company though 👏

Do you have an Android phone? Have you read your user manual? Page 28 where it explains how to respond to messages.
Instead of tapping Open you want to tap Reply.
