I have a surge paired to a Huawei p8. I have tried all the different fixes listed in various forums. I have notification on in the all on my phone set to Huawei contacts. I have notifications on on my surge. I get absolutely nothing. Anyone with a P8 solved this problem. I have later Android and fitbit versions.

What's the point? Unless it's a firmware update to fix the Bluetooth issues with huawei p9 lite. They have their priorities wrong. Still not happy

Hello,

I just buy a Fitbit Flex 2 today.

I wanted to appair it with my Huawei P9 Lite but i can't do anything.

Do you have a date for an update to resolve the P9 Lite issue ?

Thanks in advance.

I spoke to Huawei support yesterday.  They told me that I should download an app called "Bluetooth Auto Connect" and that should help the phone and band to sync.  They stated they were aware of problems but it was not something Huwaei can sort, it is fitbit that will need to do something.

Ive ownloaded and installed the app and have managed to get the phone to say "syncing" rather than "looking".  I also got a setting for notifications that came up, but have not actually managed to sync.  The app has a few different settings and I dont know if I have set the app up right.

If anyone else downloads the Bluetooth Auto Connect app and gets their p9 lite to sync, can you share what settings you have the app on?

Thanks

I will be following this as well. Im still waiting for a Bluetooth fix from Fitbit and feel really disappointed when system updates dont do anyrhing an Bluetooth fix is, after a year ! of people complaining, not even their intention.

Have you found a fitness band that is compatible with huawei that has similar specs to the charge 2? Bought one and returned today for all the same reasons

Fitbit failed to provide any facts of needed specifications to purchase supported phone model and how to fix Honor 7 lite sync problems.

I'm returning Fitbit Alta HR and purchasing Mi Band 2.

I still have Charge 2 and it is working with Oneplus One, but seems that I will return that also.. because there is no future with Fitbit units.

I don't know, but there is app in play store that inform if your phone has needed hardware to work with Mi Band 2.

My Mi Band 2 is arriving this or next week.

Not so much features as Fitbit, but lots of different apps.

Just received this email!

We are working closely with phone manufacturers and investing heavily in developing support for more phones. Rest assured that our team will continually work to make the Fitbit app compatible with an ever-growing list of mobile devices in the market. We appreciate your continued interest in Fitbit products, and we hope to continue expanding our reach to more users than ever. We appreciate your continued patience.

If they're investing so heavily and working so hard why are no new Android phones ever added to the compatible devices list? Why are most of the phones on that list no longer on sale? Please let us know the last time an Android phone was added to the list.

Today I got an Update for the App and made an update to a new firmware (via computer) and my charge 2 synced for the first time with my p9 Lite.

After the Updates I've deleted the charge 2 from the app and set it up again. It was the first time I could add the charge 2 into the app.

Now its syncing very very slowling, but is syncing now.

Can anybody confirm?

@SunsetRunner lucky you! I'm running the same firmware and app versions as you but still cannot connect.

I deleted the charge 2 from the app but cannot add it now as it can't find it. I wonder if there is another setting that needs changing.

What is your location settings set at?

Thanks

Given that there are huge numbers of unhappy Android owners waiting for their phones to be tested and added to the compatible devices list, it would be a sensible idea to add notifications when this list is updated.

I've asked for information about how many phones have been added in the last six months only to be told that Fitbit don't have that information. I don't understand why not and suspect they're just embarrassed that the number is so small- perhaps it's zero??

@Katebob66 It seems to be hit and miss. I have the latest firmware and app version but still cannot sync with my charge 2.

Very disappointing. It would be nice for someone at Fitbit to give a non automated response.
