Huawei compatibility

I've spent the good half of this week browsing through all available forums and support groups to figure this out. So bear with me, please.

My phone is Huawei P20 (not Lite, not Pro, just P20). The first time I downloaded the app, it worked fine for about a week or so. Then it stopped syncing. I didn't use my fitbit that period, so I let it be. Since last week I'm trying to get it back on - zero luck. Tried everything: restarting my fitbit device, turning off the Bluetooth, unpairing, restarting my phone, uninstalling and installing back on the app. Nothing.

So I removed the device from my app and decided to connect to it anew. Followed the whole procedure again: turned off the Bluetooth, unpaired everything, turned off bluetooth location, restarted the fitbit device, uninstalled the app, restarted my phone, installed the app again, restarted the fitbit again, installed the app, turned off all notifications. Selected Connect new device, chose the Alta HR, the app found it, the PIN got displayed on my device, entered it and - nothing. The app just spins as if connecting, but it hangs forever.

Now I know this seems to be a problem with Huawei devices, but that's not serious. The brand and model is hugely popular in Europe and it will only grow in numbers. Some patch needs to be provided by FitBit to update the app.

I'm out of options 😞 Not acceptabe

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems getting your tracker to sync with your Huawei P20. Thanks for all the details you're sharing with us!
