it isn't your phone. It's the Fitbit. I have the same kind of phone. Sometimes Fitbit syncs just fine and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't sync I go on the forums when I get frustrated enough and discover that it's not syncing for a lot of people who have different kinds of phones.
For example it has been syncing fine for a few months and yesterday and the day before I was fighting with it, and today it refuses to find the device. And, yes, I've done all the steps over and over again, except I rebooted my phone only once. Usually I don't have to reboot my phone at all to get it to work.
It was actually syncing quite well until I updated Fitbit recently. After the update before that, I had said I was never going to update the app again (because fitbit's updates for the last year seemed to consist mostly of making the app less competent or more irritating or both). I really wish I hadn't updated it again.
So I just finished reading a lot of the latest reviews in the Play Store. Every one that I read had issues with syncing. Go read them. You will see what I mean. A lot of them have a reply from the company, telling the people to go through the steps that they probably already did. In fact some of them say they have already gone through the steps.
My daughter recommended that I turn on Bluetooth and location and just leave them on. I did, but I closed the app. An hour or two later, I opened the app. It took a minute, but it finally synced. It runs the battery down faster when they are on constantly, but the next time the app screws up, I will definitely leave the location and Bluetooth on for a couple of hours while I do other things.
Best AnswerThis is a continuous thing. It never syncs unless I have location and bluetooth on, then turn off the app and come back in a couple of hours. This is worse than all the other times when it was fighting me in regards to syncing. Updating the app with a serious mistake.
