In accurate readings while riding a motorcycle

SO I again rode my motorcycle today and as always my Fitbit charge 2 recorded 3 bikes rides for the day which by the way were grossly inaccurate also floors climbed, calories burned ext.  I was told to go into my phone app and turn everything off to stop recording in, I did that and saved it but as soon as I turned everything back on it recorded the whole days riding, what went wrong ?  If I have to use the computer to do this its not going to be something I'm willing to do, I'll leave the thing at home, I heard there was ANOTHER App I could download to take care of this but why should I have to use it, Fitbit needs to address this issue.

Hello @BlueKnight, good to see you again and thank you for your feedback! I bet you have a legit bike, I'm saying this since I've seen this scenario in other occasion, usually your tracker is a movement sensor that will detect your activity based on your motion patterns. In some cases with cars or bike that produce a constant vibration, your tracker will think you are doing an activity registering data that actually you are not doing.

For these instances the best to do is to log an activity called driving. You log this activity as a regular exercise but it will negate steps and floors leaving only the calories you should have for that period of time. For more details please take a look at this post.

There is a third party app called DriveBit that works almost in the same way that you might want to check it out.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have more feedback!
