Inspire HR won't pair.

Hi, I've just bought an Inspire HR and I'm having difficulty with it pairing with my phone. I've downloaded the app and Inspire HR shows up on my Bluetooth list of devices nearby. But when I click on it to pair them it just says 'pairing' and then didn't pair. Can you help me? I have a Samsung A3 2017 ✆.

Hi, @Angiekj it will definitely not work to try to pair your Fitbit directly through your phone’s bluetooth settings.  You must do it via the Fitbit app.

Have you set up your Inspire HR in the Fitbit app?  If not, please open the app, go to your account (click on your photo icon top left) and choose “set up a device”.

If you have set up your Inspire HR, then click on the Inspire HR icon in your Fitbit app and go to “notifications” and choose which you would like to receive.  Setting up notifications should automatically force a pairing with your phone’s bluetooth settings.

You can check the connection by going to the notifications page in your Fitbit app and clicking on the 3 dots top right and choosing “send a test call notification”.  Sometimes you may need to try this a couple of times, but you should get a buzz on your wrist and everything will be set up and connected.

I hope this helps.  Please post again if you continue to have issues.  Welcome to the forums!

It's from the app. I've downloaded the app, gone to 'set up device' chosen
Inspire HR, agreed to the terms and conditions and then it says 'make sure
your fit it is fully charged' - it is and then it says turn of your
Bluetooth and turn it back on again - which I have a number of times. Then
it shoes the Inspire HR as a device to pair with and it won't pair. So I
can't set it up because it won't pair...

Hi, @Angiekj , please do not go to your phone’s bluetooth settings during set up except to turn bluetooth on or off, as advised by Fitbit.  You CANNOT pair via Bluetooth settings!  If the Inspire HR is appearing in your Bluetooth settings, but not yet properly set up in your app, as a first step please delete the device from your bluetooth settings so you can start over.

After you have deleted the device from the bluetooth settings on your phone, I would suggest giving your Inspire HR a restart:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Then, please restart your phone as well.

After you have deleted the device from your bluetooth settings, restarted your phone and your new Inspire HR, you should be able to start fresh!

Now please go back to your Fitbit app and try the set up again - on the Fitbit app go to set up a device and start again.

Let us know how this goes and if you get stuck anywhere again.

I just thought - the only thing I haven't tried is to restart my phone.
It's working now lol! Normally it's the first thing I do. My goodness I've
been at this for 2 hours lol! Thanks for your help!
