The Fitbit app doesn't recognize my settings to turn on notifications. It is enabled, but the app keeps asking tot enable them.
I cleared the cache, reinstalled the app, unpaired the device.
Android version 8.0.0
App version 2.62.1
It worked before the upgrade to android 8.
Please advise

A very warm welcome to the Forums @Alexbe! Hello @USAF-Larry.
@Alexbe, since the OnePlus 3 is not a supported device, it is entirely possible that the update to Oreo caused the optimization issues to grow bigger. While we cannot guarantee that unsupported models will work, sometimes they do. However, since the app is not fully optimized to work with them, any type of change could then cause the app to start failing.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

can I change a file on my device manually to 'enable' fitbit notifications?

Hello @Alexbe.
Because the OnePlus3 is not a supported device, it is not a matter of changing some files to enable notifications. What is going on is that the app is not fully optimized for your device and thus some features cannot work, even if the process to set them up was performed correctly.
Thanks for your understanding. Feel free to let me know if there are any questions.

Could you please share what you did to fix it? I'm having the same issue and it would help a lot.

How did you fixed it?
I also have sync problems with my Oneplus 3 and Fitbit can't help because it is "not officially supported."

- Who Voted for this post?
I fixed it by clearing the cache in the app settings.
