With the latest app update, most of the charts have become unusable. On the weight chart, I can no longer distinguish between the weight and the trend (because they are the same color). Also, I can no longer tap on the screen and get the date for that data point. Also, the x axis on the charts is now fixed to the range of the chart, not the range of the data. Also I can no longer swipe to move from one chart to the next. Also, many chart have been removed.
Who thought that this update was a good idea? Did they do any user testing on this update?
Please rollback this update so I can get the old charting behavior back.

These charts are still rubbish, aren't they?

It's been about 4 months now. The "answer" is that there is a new update which resolves these issues. They clearly are not resolved.
I was excited for the pixel watch but if I have to use it with this version of the app, no way.
Fitbit is, in it's entirety, a data viewing application. What good is counting steps, viewing heart rate, stairs climbed, calories, etc., if the app can't handle presenting the data in a way that isnt objectively awful?
The Y axis is terrible. If my weight goes from 200 to 197, why does the y axis go from 150 to 250? Why show a graph at all if it's just a straight line? Objectively bad.
The date ranges are terrible. If I select "past 7 days" then I want the past 7 days. If I want to view the last month of progress on the first of the month, then too bad. I only get one data point. Objectively bad.
Viewing a lot of data is terrible. If I try to view all of my data (I've been a customer for 5, 6 years), the graphs lock up trying to show the data, and then the data gets so scrunched together that it looks like a solid inch-thick bar across the entire timeline. Objectively bad.
The entire point of Fitbit is presenting the data in an informative and pleasing way. If I just wanted to count steps I can use a $5 counter from China.

Yes I agree. Still quite terrible from a UI that is all about data. This topic shouldn't have been marked as answered until the graphs were fixed.
I tend to use myfitnesspal to view my weight graph now, which I had stopped using due to the Fitbit graphs being better, until the 'update' happened. Just a really terrible user experience now.

Hi Rodrigo,
This was posted almost 4 months ago. Can we please get a status? Charts today are useless.

It has been 4 months. No updates have fixed certain definite regressions:
- Time windows are this weird absolute instead of a sliding window. In January, the Year tab will somehow show less data than the 3 Months tab. This is crazy.
- Scale is still bad for many graphs. Yes, some have seen minor improvements, but overall they do a poor job of scaling the y-axis to relevant values.
- When looking at Zone minutes, the lines aren't colored according to the Zone you were in.
It's pretty sad to say, but I don't think I can recommend FitBit, nor anything which Google (which has acquired FitBit) makes in this space. It seems it's time to look into competitors, especially Apple.

I agree. The y axis scale has shortened so it is slightly better, however the whole graph remains about an inch high on the screen when it used to be at least two inches, so remains poor in detail compared to the last iteration. In addition, the graphs no longer show cumulative weeks, months or years so I get 9 days data currently for the year graph, and every week just 1 day at the start. This means it is really only the 3 month and all time data that shows trends - meaning the small scale graphs are even harder to interpret in detail and read. I really miss the previous graphs which see much clearer to see detail and compare when looking back.

This still isn't fixed though, is it? We're at the point of the year where the 'Month' and the 'Year' tabs are both utterly useless. And everything is still too small. It's such an awful user interface.

Hi LizzyFitbit,
I now have version 3.72 installed, and still can't find where I go to get my last 30daysweight trends graph.
But what I have found is another app, Cronometer, which gives me the graphs I'm looking for, and also has the added advantage of being able to track food intake, including barcode scanning ... all for Free

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.
Thanks for your continued reports and steps tried on your own. As you know, our team released some improvements for the graphs available on the Android Fitbit app. To learn more about them, I'd recommend checking this post.
To keep threads on topic or tailed to a specific topic, I'm going to close this thread from further comments. Your feedback is truly appreciated and we'll keep working to make Fitbit more useful for you.
