With the latest app update, most of the charts have become unusable. On the weight chart, I can no longer distinguish between the weight and the trend (because they are the same color). Also, I can no longer tap on the screen and get the date for that data point. Also, the x axis on the charts is now fixed to the range of the chart, not the range of the data. Also I can no longer swipe to move from one chart to the next. Also, many chart have been removed.
Who thought that this update was a good idea? Did they do any user testing on this update?
Please rollback this update so I can get the old charting behavior back.

well it seems like they shut down my suggestions thread and have no plans to roll back to the old charts.
@LizzyFitbit this is not helpful. is there any other way we can at least get back some of the old chart features cause the current ones are making this device and this app completely not helpful since its basically the same as using myfitnesspal now.

In all honesty - who thought this was a good idea?
This update is such a hard fail, I can't even. I used Fitbit to log my weight and share with my fitness buddy (picked it for the nice graphs in comparison to 2 other apps I could use). Now I have to use excel, cause nothing is looking meaningful in Fitbit graphs anymore.
Not sure if my next watch will be Fitbit again, to be honest. This update shows that there are absolute amateurs at work ...

Well the said they will not revert, but fix the issues. That's what I expected, but also what I feared. We are unpaid or even paying testers. How long will it take until they understand and fix every issue? Honestly Garmin is looking better every minute (also no "premium" app option which makes you pay to see all of your data). I mean for 2 years fitbit premium you easily get the garmin tracker + app (with no paywall).

I've just logged in for my weekly weight update and agree with most of the posts here - the new graph is absolutely dreadful. Certainly not an "update" by any stretch of the imagination, they now look like what of have expected 10 years ago. As well as the white background looking worse than the old blue, both my weight and trend now look the same colour, and the y axis is so large that my weight trend just looks like a flat line. Please revert to the old graphs asap Fitbit! Certainly won't be buying another Fitbit while the remaining features not already behind the premium paywall are now virtually unusable

This awful update messed up the premium version too.The weight tracking chart is completely useless now. It was my favorite feature, very motivating to see gradual success over time. It's frustrating that Fitbit/Google claims the update was an improvement and won't admit it was a failure.

Agree this is now useless. I am astounded this was rolled out as an update. I wonder who is in charge of this update and if they use the product themselves.

Opened the app last night to input my calories & see what my deficit was for the day only to see all the graphs have changed, in most cases becoming less easy to read/understand.
Who on earth thought it was a good idea to remove the automatic daily/weekly average calorie deficit or graph layout in a Mon-Sun format rather then the last 7 days format that it was. How was that something that they decided to remove!?

For what it's worth, I was able to get a reasonable y-axis range on the weight graph by removing my weight goal. It went from a completely useless and arbitrary 40lb range to a more helpful 8lb range (seems to be based on my actual data). At least I can see something more than a horizontal line now. But I agree with all the other complaints. The chart is too small, the trend line can't be distinguished from the data line, the white color is bad, there is no "pop-out" option to get a full-screen version, the data gets "lost" sometimes and you get a blob of data, etc etc. This is so bad I have to wonder if it is intentional and they'll try to upsell us to Premium to get "enhanced" graphs (in other words, the old version).

Honestly, my original Versa has gone on the fritz, so I started using my husband's...we were going to be in the market for new watches this fall but it seems more and more like we'll be looking at alternatives to Fitbit (was originally going to look at any new Fitbits as well as the Pixel Watch with Fitbit integration...but it's starting to look less likely). The basic features that still don't exist and the terrible unnecessary updates that they do don't give me faith in sticking with the company. I was hoping the acquisition by Google would help step things up, but so far I've seen no improvements. Maybe the watches will be nicer, but the app is also important, and it's becoming LESS usable.

Here's a pic of how non-functional my graph is looking after the update. This is not acceptable.

I appreciate that at least there is confirmation that the issues are "being looked at" but based on previous behaviour by fitbit this does not give me any real hope anything will be changed any time soon. The issue is not that we do not know how to use the new charts, the issue is that features have been removed that were convenient to use!
Just to add to the evidence here about the y axis scaling (and colours) being unusable on the weight graph, here is mine. It's chosen a range of EIGHT stone. That there is not even an option to manually set the y axis blows my mind.

I really need them to bring back the average daily and weekly deficits. So upset they got rid of this.

Thanks Amy2112 for this tip, removing the weight goal helped to make the graph not a straight line anymore. You've been more helpful than anyone at Fitbit.

@Amy2112 How did you remove your weight goal? In the app, I only have the choice of lose, gain and maintain. I can't remove it or set it to 0 as it insists there must be a weight and the maintain still gives me a 20kg spread when I'm fluctuating 2-3kg at worst since early this year.
The website also insists on a goal weight between 2.5 and 680kg with no option to remove.
Never Mind, it's sort of hidden. For anyone else, on the weight goal page, push the 3 button option at the top right and it's there.
I guess this is not a solution for anyone who has a weight goal, as it will no longer calculate the calorie deficit or surplus required to achieve their aim. One step forwards, a couple of steps back.

An erroneous data point has been added to my weight log that skews the chart in a major way. It can't be deleted. Any one else have this issue? It's dated at 12 months before I started using the app to track weight trends. Here's a screenshot:
This used to be a such a good chart to use for motivation - before the new charts update. Wish I had a screenshot of the old chart.

It just gets worse. I'm onto Sunday and the nutrition graph shows today and today only. It's also in calories, while the information below is in kilojoules. They've never been able to figure out how to get the selected unit right, but this is another thing that has been broken further.
The odd thing is that what people have been begging for in the weight log and trend lines, that it not be over a +/- 20kg range so that it looks almost flat, is that the bar is scaled to the 979 calories out that I've spent until 11AM (even though it should be 4096kJ). I guess by Saturday, it will be back to the normal scale, and then be broken again next Sunday, when it's the only day showing again.
To take a half broken app and screw it up so totally requires an inordinate amount of skill.
Go look in the Google Play store and check out all the reviews. This past week or so, there are a few 3 stars, a few more 2 stars, and a heck of a lot of 1 star reviews.
