Issues with nutrition and weight graphs after update

With the latest app update, most of the charts have become unusable. On the weight chart, I can no longer distinguish between the weight and the trend (because they are the same color). Also, I can no longer tap on the screen and get the date for that data point. Also, the x axis on the charts is now fixed to the range of the chart, not the range of the data. Also I can no longer swipe to move from one chart to the next. Also, many chart have been removed.

Who thought that this update was a good idea? Did they do any user testing on this update?

Please rollback this update so I can get the old charting behavior back.

So two charts will be marginally fixed while all of the other issues addressed in this thread will be ignored, leaving my tracker still essentially useless. Glad my new Garmin will be showing up soon.

These new coloured charts are awful!!! Please change back - the sleep and HR / exercise pages look completely different and it's impossible to distinguish between different sleep/hr stages at a glance!!

Best Answer

We're not looking for improvements my dude. The word we're looking for is reversion. As in we don't have faith in the UX team to improve any of the charts over the old functionality.

Best Answer

Hi,

The graphs in-app have recently changed to blue on white, and with that, the landing page for the exercise tile has changed and, on the sleep tile, it is no longer possible to see the sleep stages at a glance at the top.

Please make the colour & layout of these customisable so that those of us who want it back how it was can have that and others who prefer the white & blue can choose to have that.

I personally really dislike the white and blue, but that's me, others will think otherwise so please give this options

I think I'm going with the whoop, seems to be what all my friends are using now. What stinks is I've used Fitbit since the original Charge HR. My concern with whoop was originally the monthly fee, but the more I look at it, the more it seems worth it.

Now, can they work on fixing the bugs? As I've said many times in many threads, there are people who have been waiting over 4 years for some of them. Wouldn't that be a better way to spend time in improving the application?

Best Answer

Exactly! At least allow us to click on it to full screen that allowed zooming and swipe panning like before even if initial view stayed like they currently have it.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for keeping us posted, and I'm sorry for the experience that you've had. As mentioned before, our team is working on improvements for the weight trends charts which will be available in a new release this month. They're also aware of the other issues reported in this thread and we'll keep providing you with updates as soon as we receive more information.

Your feedback is truly appreciated and please be sure to keep the Fitbit app updated on your Android devices. That way you can receive the quickest solution.

The new charts in the Android app are absoliute crap. Does nobody test this before it goes out?

Changing from last seven days to weekly means that most of the time most of the chart is empty because the x-axis goes into the future.

Agree!!! Theyre awful!!

In fact, just this morning I was trying to look at my HR overnight, it used to break it down really well, but now it's just a tiny little flag and you can't rotate it landscape to get a better view!!!
They really really are absolutely rubbish!!! Fitbit.... sort this out.

Can we please just have the option of having the old charts back?? These new ones really really are absolutely rubbish

Best Answer

Simply getting back what we had before would be the best solution. It was perfect, and this is useless.

Best Answer

Yup, that is the only solution!! Just bring back old ones. Feels like nobody tested the new charts and we're the guinea pigs... well - they're rubbish so change back...

I'm looking at other tracker options tbh, they're that bad

@SunsetRunner I think I'll be another of those who say "I had a Fitbit once". I nearly bought a Samsung when I got the Fitbit 18 or so months ago but held off because they were still going on with their own OS. Now they've gone to the WearOS platform, I'm hearing good things about them, especially if you have a Galaxy phone.

Will "do my research" a bit better next time, though.

Please bring back the average weekly calorie deficits!

Please bring back the average weekly calorie deficits. You have the averages for all the other charts, why not the calorie one.

Look forward to the update....I guess. I doubt it will address even half the problems reported here though. The food logging issues are still ongoing since May. Not hopeful, sorry 🤷🏼‍:male_sign:

The way the nutrition and weight graphs worked in the app motivated me considerably over the last half year to (nearly 😉 achieve my weight goal. After the last update it seems that everything useful and working was removed  for the sake of optically aligning the graphs with the desktop version of the user data (?). I am afraid that the announced "improvements for the weight trends charts" won't solve the issue. Anyway, as long as the app is in this state I will immediatly stop to recommend fitbit to anyone (which i did very often over the last months) and will not pay for premium any longer.

I used to use a Samsung now that you mention it..
