I keep having to re-pair my Fitbit Zip with my LGK30 daily. It takes several tries every time.

Welcome to the Forums @CaitCat86.
This seems to be happening becuase the LG K30 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.
As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.
If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

There are just too many devices not on the "compatibility list". I am no computer guru, but it seems that something like notifications should be a function of the Android operating system and that any device designed to receive notifications should be able to do so without it being specific to each device. Even across same manufacturer's, some phones work and some do not. I just ordered my first Wear OS device for this very reason. Maybe I will have the same problems, maybe not, but I need to try something else because phones break and you need to replace them. The last thing on your mind (or that you should have to think about) is whether or not my wearable device is going to work with it.
