@Jastsai The LG V20 is currently not listed as a supported device here, which could explain the issues you've experienced with the notifications feature.
@VykkDraygo I recommend trying to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app and giving the setup process for notifications another try. Let me know if that helps.

@ErickFitbitYeah, that was the one of the first things I did. I restarted the Blaze and the phone, I checked permissions, uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, checked permissions again. I even removed the Blaze from my account, then reinstalled the app, and added it back in. The app crashes everytime I click to setup notifications. And this only started after the update on the 15th.
But yeah. I did all the normal basic trouble shooting. I mean, there could be a permission somewhere that I am missing, that the app needs after this latest update, but if so, I don't know what. I went and loosened up a lot of the restrictions I had in place to see if that was it, but it hasn't changed anything. All I know is that I was really enjoying silent notifications, and now they are gone. 😉

Best AnswerI'm having the exact problem that VykkDraygo is having. Each time I click the "setup notification" it crashes. Everythign else works. Just can't click that button.
@Jastsai I fixed it last night. I had to go in and reset ALL app settings to default. They changed something in the way that the app and the device interface, is my guess. It worked perfectly after that.
I'm not happy with the solution, since it nuked all of my custom settings, but it's better to have a working device.
Yeah. The steps may be different depending on your device, and what OS you are running, but here is where it was located on mine:
Settings -> Applications -> Application Manager -> More -> Reset app preferences
If you never went through and setup app permissions (I'm a fiddly IT guy), then this may not do anything at all. That said, if you never did that, then it also doesn't hurt to try, since you won't lose anything.
Fitbit don't provide any timeline for supporting new devices, I'm in a similar situation with the Moto Z. Just have to wait unfortunately.
