I know you said the last update fixed this... but not for me... my alta and flex 2 are still canceling each other out.
I have unpaired and repaired both Trackers. I have the update installed on Android.
Can you please let me know when this is actually fixed???
I can't reply to my other thread....
Also. It no longer seems to keep the data in the app like before... now it just erases everything from the previous tracker and overwrites it on the one I use in the 2nd part of the day.
Please bring back the old app that worked???

Welcome to the Forums @Ingrid_I. Hello @lisag0209.
Thanks for your input. There haven't been any updates on the matter. In the meantime I'd definitely recommend that you try to only use one tracker for the whole day. Additionally, you could keep a manual record of how many steps you have had at specific moments of the day and then manually add those steps to your account to make sure that your personal records are correct.
Let me know if you have any further questions!

Lost steps happened to me today. I hit the 10K with my Alta HR, but when it synced with the app it jumped back to around 8300. I have my Charge 2 linked to my account as well, but only use it for a few hours in the morning for my workout. It is very frustrating not being able to use both devices. I have the latest updates on both my trackers and the app.

Hey @Laura10.
It is possible it was a one time thing, I'd say that we keep an eye on their behavior for a little while and see if this happens again.
In the meantime, you could log a walking activity in order to get the steps back for your personal records. Please do know that manually logged steps do not count towards challenges or friend leaderboards.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.

To cover all possible fix options, I removed both devices from my account, went through the reset process several times with each device, uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it, and reconnected both trackers again. I also changed the settings on the Charge 2 to turn off "All-Day Sync" since I only use it for my workouts. Hopefully the issue is resolved.

Still not working right. This afternoon I noticed my Alta HR dropped 35 steps after syncing. Recently I have watched my Alta HR go from 12,091 steps to 12,040. Then I walk a bit and get up to 12,071 and it jumped back to 12.040 after syncing. Then I get it up to 12,073, and once again it jumped back to 12.040 after syncing. I wish there was a way to specify which device is being worn and disregard the other device. Each time syncing, the app searches and syncs both devices if I am close enough to the one I'm not wearing which is laying on my dresser.

I was at 12,346 on the Alta HR, and once again it jumped back to 12,040. It is almost like the Charge 2 record of steps on the device is overruling the Alta HR. Although at times the Charge 2 does sync with the current number on the Alta HR. This issue happened a few months back, and Fitbit advised only wearing one tracker until it was resolved. I thought it had been resolved, but is now happening all over again. I would not have invested in a second tracker and multiple bands to go with it if I had known there would be so many issues with two trackers. I don't know how long the issue has been happening because I am not looking for it daily, and my total step count does increase as the day goes on despite the numbers dropping at times. I guess I will go back to just one tracker and determine if it is an issue related to an individual tracker.

Hey @Laura10.
As a heads up, please try to avoid posting multiple times in succession. If you need to add something to your post you can click on the three little dots on the top-right corner of a post and use the Edit button that will show up.
Additionally, please do revert back to one tracker for the time being. I will try to get any updates on the situation and let you know once I do receive something.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Similar to what I have stated before, I have 3 Fitbits. Recently upgraded and got an Alta HR. I have a Charge 2, Alta HR, and the One. Was wearing the Alta HR today in the house went up to about 658 steps, synced via the app. Then all of a sudden I had 203 steps on all the devices. Where did 203 come from? I got the Alta HR because I wanted to wear a lighter tracker to bed. But it doesn't track workouts, very well, floors climbed, and never syncs up well. I have done all of the tips above.

@PrayWorkMoveIf you have all three Fitbits paired to your main Dashboard below is a link where I have given some tips.. Apologies because I cannot insert a link because the system thinks I'm using profanities I don't have any issues with Multi Mode on Android since the feature was made available. Go to the Forum and topic below
I have found my Fitbit One can sync at least 50' away, a trap for many. I always wear my One and Ionic concurrently to pick up the shopping steps, and with careful syncing the both devices finish up with the highest step count.

Thanks for that reply @Colinm39. Hey @PrayWorkMove.
@PrayWorkMove I'd say that we try to remove all trackers from your account and then pair them up again after a restart. That should help so that the connection is reestablished and thus they shouldn't have any more issues.
Please give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Hi Lanuza, I still have the issue that the fitbit app records the minimum and not the sum of steps taken between the two synchronizations of my Alta HR and Flex 2 trackers. I have tried the solution suggested in this thread two times now.
It might shed some light on the underlying issue that the app believes I was sleeping while I was swimming, see the linked screenshots: Exercise, Sleep
(Also, Flex 2 does not have a heart rate monitor, so how come there is an average BPM associated to my swimming session?)
Please look deeper into this issue, I do not think that it has been completely resolved.
