Macronutrients were just added to the Android app in the nutrition section today (not yet in the iOS version as far as I can tell). Macro & micronutrients are accessible via the premium subscription in the dashboard.

Is there a way to get rid of the macronutrient percentage thing from my screen? Or to make it show quantities rather than percentages? And maybe a way to change the colors back to green/orange/red where they actually meant something?
Another (in my opinion) totally negative change to a program I've been enthusiastic about for a year now, but am slowly losing my enthusiasm.

There is no apparent way to edit or remove this part of the data field.

The new feature macronutrients in the app is great but it does not show the macronutrients from myfitnesspal, so it gets wrong.
On my computer fitbit dashboard shows the macronutrients from myfitnesspal, so there it works.
So I think the app designer forgot about this feature, to work with myfitnesspal.
I am forced to use myfitnesspal for the foodlist, they have foods from most countries, and have a swedish food list.
Fitbit are selling there products in most countries but do not have foodlist for most countries witch make it little bit useless. In sweden I can not scan a barcode on foods with fitbit, but it works with myfitnesspal.

I totally agree with you Tewald, what a stupid upgrade. I much preferred it the way it was and I would like to get rid of the micronutrients once and for all.

I have the same issue with macronutriens new feature in the app. I track my food via myfitnesspal since it is easier, and on dashboard on my computer I can see every macro, but in the app, it is empty.

FitBit keeps adding things without flexibility. For example, on the new dashboard, you can move things around on the top, and you can move them around on the bottom, but you can't switch between. Everything on the top is what I do NOT want to see, and it takes up the majority of the phone screen. I agree that's it more visually appealing, but it's useless to me. Now, with this macronutrient percentages thing, the screen that I actually use the most - entering food - is unusable until I scroll down to the second page, so to speak. Have they added vertical space between the lines of food, too? It sure seems like I see much, much less on the screen than I could before. It's like the Android app is being developed by someone whose experience is all in using large computer screens, and does not understand the phone screens are small. This incredible app actually enabled me to lose MORE weight than I wanted to lose last year - now it's losing its usability.

I really like the new feauture. I can see if I will reach the international and global goals of 50% carbohydrates 30% fat and 20% protein or similar, its about my health.
One of the best update yet, a very important one for health

That is where I'm asking for flexibility. I actually DO want to see macronutrients, but as mass, not percentages, and I'd like to see fiber in there, too. All of which means what they offer is useless to me; I still need to go to the FitBit Log. How about removing this new addition and giving us a button that takes us straight to the log? There it shows daily totals AND the percentages they've forced on us. And it could be a SMALL button that does NOT take up so much PRECIOUS real estate on our small cell phone screens, and could be simply ignored by those who don't want it?

Hi everyone! I have been reading all your posts and thank you for the different comments and feedback about the new changes in the Fitbit app.
With the new update in the Fitbit app, there is a small summary now of Macronutrients to provide more information about your food entries. This has not change the way it was working the Fitbit app and was implemented based on different feedback from Fitbit users due to this information was only available in the online-Dashboard. You'll now see an estimate of your daily intake of fat, protein, and carbohydrates, in addition to your caloric intake, when you log your food.
With MyFitnessPal, works different. This integration was not directly developed by Fitbit. Meaning we don't have control of what information is shared with Fitbit and MFP. For more information about third party services please visit the following post.
I have replicated the scenario on my own Dashboard and Macronutrients are not recognized if the food entry is not coming from your Fitbit account. For this and other changes implemented on the Fitbit app please refer to our help article: What's changed in the latest release of the Fitbit app?
All your comments are welcome and thank you for your interest to improve the Fitbit experience.

You can say it's a "small summary", but it takes up precious space on the screen and is unwanted by many of us. Again, why not simply put in a button to go directly to the log i the online dashboard? Or just give us an option? It's good that you responded to users, but you did not ask the community at large (at least not AFAIK) what we thought of it. The complainers got their change, and those of us who did not comment because we were satisfied with the way it was are now dissatisfied, and apparently with no recourse. "You'll now see an estimate of your daily intake of fat, protein, and carbohydrates, in addition to your caloric intake, when you log your food." That is simply not true. We see percentages - I'm assuming it's the percent of calories from each source. And - at least for some of us - those percentages are not wanted. Period.

My screen looks like this and it shows cals in and cals out.
You can toggle the upper part, shows different things
I dont really understand what the problem is, maybe because I am swedish ha ha
I find the macronutrients to be a great adition. The target is about 50 carbo, 30 fat 20 prot for a healthy lifestyle

It would be nice If macronutrients also showed how many grams of each macronutrients not only procent.
