I've noticed in recent days that the Android app is no longer logging manually entered runs properly. Manual Log > Activity > Run will log the run in Android app, but it doesn't convert the manually logged run to steps anymore. Track Live > Start Exercise > Log Previous > Exercise Type = Run doesn't even save the activity in the app at all. I have found that web site still works. If you log it on the website it will convert to steps. I have tried uninstall/reinstall app. I have restarted my phone and also my Fitbit, which is a Charge 5. No of that made any difference. I would like it if the Android app worked for manually logging runs because that is easier to use on my phone than the website. FYI, I manually log treadmill runs and use the Fitbit for walking/running outside. Fitbit doesn't seem to track mileage well on treadmill.

Hello @sltaylor @Pras1905 @prinpc @JoshuaKingston
I've seen several users reporting this issue. I've notified the Fitbit team and will report back when I get a response.

I use a Cubii to do a seated elliptical workout. In the past I have been able to add this as an hour long walk. Two days ago when I added my nightly workout it showed under activity but did not increase my steps at all. I am seated so my actual Fitbit is not counting any steps for the time period in question. This was working fine until 2 days ago. I really am not tech savvy and do not play around with uninstalling apps and then adding them back. I did try to restart my Fitbit and turned off Bluetooth and turned it back on. Does anyone have a not too technical solution for this problem?
Best AnswerI have a Fitbit Charge 6 and use the Android app. I don't wear my fitbit during jiu-jitsu class, so I usually manually enter this activity after the fact. I log it as "Martial Arts" and log how many minutes I did. The Fitbit app would then estimate an amount of calories burned. I've been doing this for years. Recently, within the last few days, the Fitbit app no longer attempts to estimate calories burned. When I manually enter in my exercise, it says "0 calories". Please fix this.
As a workaround, I tried to manually enter in calories, so instead of leaving the field blank (which would normally trigger the app to estimate calories) I manually entered a number, like "850". When I save the activity, the activity log shows the 850 calories burned instead of 0, but it is not added to my daily total. Moreover, this activity isn't shared to another app (Wellable in this case) to log my exercise there. Previously all of my manually-entered exercises would be shared to Wellable. Please fix this too.
I tried all these, does not make a difference. If I log it via FitBit.com it all works:-). Peter
Best AnswerTried that too, does not make a difference. Peter
Best AnswerI've also been having this issue for the past two days, i.e. I'm logging manual exercise in the app and it's not updating calories. It does transfer across okay if I log it via the dashboard on the web-version, but this is such a faff! Re-installing the app has not resolved this. Look forward to hearing further advice.
For the last few days my fitbit (Inspire 3) is not showing my manually logged activities, and I cannot delete one auto recognised activity that is a duplicate. I have turned off the bluetooth connection and closed down the phone all to no avail. I added the details through my account on the PC but they are still not showing on the app.
This is very frustrating, anyone else have this problem?
I noticed a few days ago that I cannot manually log driving time any longer. I enter the activity manually, but it never shows up in my activity log, and all the steps I didn't actually take are still displayed. I drive a lot, resulting in my fitbit thinking I've taken 10,000 steps when in reality it is more like 1000.
Best AnswerHello @tummai and welcome to the Community. I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for your issue. This feature works correctly on my iPhone. What Fitbit app version do you have? Also, can you include a screenshot that shows that the calorie estimation is wrong?
You aren't the only user reporting this problem. There are other threads on the same topic, making this look like a new Android bug.

Best AnswerThat's good to know guess I need to go on my computer to do that.
Best AnswerI have a luxe, manual activity entry was working fine until 3 days ago...I use a walker, get around alot, but need to use manual entry for my walks.
Frustration is real!
I'm having same or similar problems.
my Fitbit app has not recorded “activity” since Sunday.
The past I've tried “auto recognize” but mine doesn't seem to work for “activity”
So before my walks, I open up my app, click on the + button, track live, start exercise, walk, (wait for the GPS to get green bars), click the red arrow to start tracking my walk…. Then when I'm done with my walk, I click on the pause button, then click on finish and hold.
Usually it takes a few minutes to crunch the data, then it adds it to activity/exercise days. It also gives me a map of where I walked and a graphic display of how fast. It also has a summary of miles and steps, etcetera.
Sunday was the last day this process worked correctly for me. Though I initiated the walk on the application and it seemed to record the steps and miles and such on the main menu, it did not log the activity or exercise days.
This is exactly the same for me when logging my karate classes. Manual activity add of "martial art" shows up as 0 calories. If I add them in manually, they show up under the activity but aren't added to the daily total nor (like you) are they carried through to my calorie app (lose it!). It'd be nice to get this fixed as I'm not allowed to wear my Fitbit during class (for obvious reasons).
I'm having the same issue. If I log on the Web dash it works but fitbit Google are now closing this on July 8th this year!
Seems like the company doesn't care about customer needs. This is a pretty basic feature that they are in no rush to fix. If it's not sorted by the time the Web dash shuts down I'll be moving to Garmin
