Today I'm seeing a new MobileTrack notification from the FitBit app.
I don't understand why their pedometer service would be running in the first place: My Fitbit charge 2 should already be connected, so they shouldn't need to use the pedometer service on my phone.
Anybody know what's going on?

Hi, @Quilting101.
You can click on your Community's profile picture on the top right corner and select "My subscriptions" from where you can change settings about notifications.
Hope this helps.

Hello, @MaxNana.
If you're visiting the Community from your phone, you'll see your user's picture on the top left corner of the site so you can tap on it and you'll see "My subscriptions" from where you can control your notifications. Please note that this is for your Community notifications, so you need to do it from the website and not from the Fitbit app on your phone.
See you around.

Tapping and holding the notification does not get rid of it!
Somebody please actually put a resolution on here instead of running around to other threads that actually don't make sense and don't fix any issues at all!
Yes, I do have further questions! How do I get rid of the speedometer notification on my Android phone? The response you point out has nothing to do with the question involved. That post tells you how to set up notifications, not how to get rid of this notification and to turn off the pedometer on my phone. Please actually respond instead of sending people on a wild goose chase!
There are like 40 different suggestions, but you have never ever come up with a simple bulleted list on how to get rid of this issue! Instead of telling someone to look through 175 different post on this thread and try everything, how about just responding with a simple bulleted list on how to fix the issue. Whenever I try the suggestions you point out, I cannot even find the icons or anything even vaguely relevant that I can used to try to fix the issue. Come on stop running us around, give us a fix!

Best Answer@Xtysurfs open the fitbit app
tap the top left corner to go to your account.
Tap the 3 dots to the right of Mobile Track
Tap Unpair.
I don't know what app is giving you the speedometer, it isn't the fitbit app

Hello everybody!
@Doxiemom95 @Rich_Laue Thanks for your replies!
@Xtysurfs Nice to see you again in the forums. You can either turn off the notifications from the Fitbit app directly in your smartphones' settings or remove MobileTrack as an active device.
There you have the option to remove it from your account. Regards!
I also get the option to unpair but I was afraid that the Inspire will no longer pair with the app. Have you had this problem?
Thanks, ChrisPre
Best Answer@ChrisPre what do you want to remove. Mobile Track or the Inspire.
Mobile track can be removed from your fitbit account.
Your inspire can be removed from your fitbit account.
Un-pairing will not remove the tracker from your fitbit account.
Mobile track can not be un-paired from the phones BT.
The inspire can be um-paired from the I phones BT
Best AnswerWell, I guess I am wondering if Mobile Track running on my phone uses battery life. If I understand correctly, Mobile Track keeps counting my steps if my phone is on me but the tracker is not. I do not keep my phone physically on me at all times anyway but the Inspire is always on my wrist. So I am thinking that I do not need it. (Mobile Tracker) Does the Mobile Tracker have anything to do with me setting the type of exercise on the FitBit app before doing it?
I am very happy with my Inspire and want to make sure that if I do remove the Mobile Track, that the Inspire will not be affected and will synch properly. Thanks for your reply. I am looking forward to your response.
Best AnswerMobile track uses hardware in the phone, how much does it use?
Being hardware based, it would use only a little, but don't know, on android it should not be hard to figure.
Of course removing mobile track from your fitbit account will not affect the inspire.
@ChrisPre It depends on your phone. Phones newer than, say 3-4 years, have a dedicated chip to count the steps that is always on. Fitbit simply reads the steps provided by the dedicated chip so it is not using more battery than usual.
Best AnswerWell, that is interesting! I just got the phone 2 weeks ago! I did delete it from the Fitbit app but I still get the message. Next I will trying to reboot. Thanks for the reply/
Best AnswerSame here! Trying to figure out how to turn it off 🤔😜
