MobileTrack progress not syncing

I have a Google Pixel 2 XL and had been using a Fitbit Flex to record steps without issue. I've had the Flex for several months; I've used other fitbits before it for years.

A few days ago a friend's Fitbit broke so I de-registered my Flex for them to borrow, and registered MobileTrack on my phone. Over the last few days though the behavior has become unpredictable: it registers thousands of steps in the app, syncs, then indicates maybe tens of steps instead.

A few things of note: I'm also running Google Fit on my phone and it's registered all the steps I've taken without issue (so it's probably not my phone's sensors). I don't have a data plan on my phone, so if MobileTrack requires internet to work there could be a problem there (the MobileTrack FAQ says data is saved for 7 days). The app is up to date; my phone's OS is Android version 9 (P).

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it in case the app had some issue deregistering my Flex that led to this state. I'll follow up whether that helps matters at all. But I wanted to check if anyone else had this issue, since it's been very frustrating for me.

Welcome to the Forums @spelchec.

Thanks for sharing all that insight into what is going on.

I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on. Could you take some screen shots of the steps changing like you mentioned? That'd let me get a better understanding. Also, along with the screen shots, please let me know the total number of steps showing on Google Fit to compare with Fitbit.

In the meantime I'd recommend trying to log out and then force closing the app. Then, open the app and log back in. It should force the app to reload all data and might show the correct number of steps at that point.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
