HI there @Graeme33, its awesome you have joined to our Fitbit Community. This process has not an specific timeframe, so I cannot tell you when is gonna happen since our development team is constantly testing devices to make sure all tracker and app features are supported.
In my personal use I have also a mobile phone that is not compatible, but so far all features are being working as it should. I've seen the same for many other mobile phones from different user. The difference is that we cannot guarantee it wont present issues.
Nowadays these devices are built under the same core specification with variations depending of the brands but while many Android devices have a Bluetooth 4.0 chip, not all devices are able to be accessed by apps like the Fitbit App.
Thank you for your feedback and stay tune to our Compatible list for future updates.
