Moto Z Force Not compatible

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I love Fitbit.. I used mine every day! However I had to get a new phone and the phone I purchased (Moto z force) is not compatible with Fitbit. This is a big inconvenience considering my Fitbit and all of the bands and things I bought are not cheap. I hope that they are able to make Fitbit compatible with more phones.

Hey @Brandi7283, welcome to the Forums.

We're continuously working towards adding more and more devices to the supported list. Be sure to regularly check as new devices are added constantly.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Any ETA on the compatibility?  I just purchased the Z-Force yesterday myself and am a bit frustrated, not only with the incompatibility with Fitbit, but other apps to which I'm trying to adapt...had a dinosaur in the iPhone-4S, but never had a problem with my Fitbit.  Thanks!

Thanks for joining the Community @PaPaDawg16!

As much as I would like to give you an approximate ETA, we do not have any sort of time frame that we could provide for the matter. Compatibility is updated regularly however we do not have any details on which devices are being worked on at what time.

Thank you very much for your understanding and your patience.

Good luck with this one....I have the Moto Z force and have not gotten anywhere. Everything seems to work ok except for music control. Support just says its not on the "list of compatible devices" over and over. They are no help. Even after every update its still the same flickering trying to connect message.

Is it really updated regularly Lanuza? I've been monitoring the android compatible device list and it seems pretty static. No changes since I've started looking at it.

Can you advise when it was last updated?

@LanuzaFitbit I don't know if you saw Dragonfruit's comment from a month ago.  When was the supported devices list last updated?

Any word on this issue Fitbit moderator? I just received a Fitbit for my birthday and I am disappointed that I can't get notifications from my phone (Motorola Z Force). That is one of the primary reasons I got it. Considering returning if not compatible.

Welcome to the Forums @MotoZForce and @Dboshek. Hello @TheFNP and @Dragonfruit.

@TheFNP I hadn't, thanks for pointing it out. I do not have specific details of when was the last time, but I do know that devices are added regularly. Unfortunately there aren't any news on the compatibility situation for devices not yet on the list. If the hardware is the one required (Bluetooth 4.0) there is a possibility that the mobile device can work with a tracker, or even make use of some of the app's options however it is not possible to guarantee that it will do so consistently, if at all.

I absolutely understand how this can be frustrating or disappointing. I would say, however, that giving it a try is definitely worth the shot.

Feel free to let me know if there are any questions.

@LanuzaFitbit

How can you keep toeing the line that devices are added regularly?

The Samsung S8 and Google Pixel are the ONLY TWO devices added in 2017.

Great job.

@LanuzaFitbit, seriously, can you give real answers and stop this copypasting nonsense?

Your list of compatible devices hasn't been updated in a year!! Most 2017 bestsellers are not compatible at all!!!! (which means not working at all, not just "not tested")

I have been watching this list for over a year!  Since I got the Moto Z Force.  What is taking so long? This is nuts!!!!

The brand new NOTE 8 is added already!!! How is it that I'm still waiting for a phone that is one a year old! And I can't take the Fitbit back! Ugh...pissed

that's not true. The Samsung note on the list is the first ever Samsung note with an 8" display, not the Samsung note 8! You can see this as it has been there on the list for much longer than the Samsung note 8 has been around.

fitbit is not ignoring moto. They're ignoring android altogether.

Ionic - Syncing with Moto Z-Force Droid Phone - Android 7.1.1

I have followed all the instructions that were in the response from Support. The uninstalling, reinstalling, removing the Ionic, etc. only allowed me to sync ONCE. After that it was unable to even connect with the Bluetooth again. I have already written asking for more assistance to no avail. Can ANYONE AT FITBIT TELL ME IF THE IONIC IS EVEN COMPATIBLE WITH THE MOTO Z-FORCE DROID PHONE?? I have had the phone for 10 months. This has been exhausting and extremely time-consuming for a smartwatch that won't sync. Shouldn't anyone at Fitbit know one way or the other??? Hope there is an updated software to make the Ionic compatible with my Moto Z-Force Droid phone, or I will be forced to return it.  I cannot take my PC with me everywhere and that is the only way to sync.  Nuts after all the money I spent to upgrade from the Surge to an Ionic that has inadequate software for the phone!!!  Please advise status ASAP!!

After seeing cathyhn's message today, I gave it anotherashot and was able to "fully" sync my Blaze with my Moto-Z.  I am now finally getting messages on my Blaze and can control my music.
