Muted Whatsapp groups give notifications on Versa

I've several Whatsapp groups which I 'mute'. Since I've updated the Fitbit app yesterday the notifications from those groups are coming through on my Versa (they didn't before the app update). I haven't changed any settings on my phone (Samsung S8) or Versa. Has anyone else encountered this change in notifications? Currently my Versa is running on firmware version 32.33.1.30. I've restarted both phone and Versa without result.

Is this 'as designed' in the new version of the app, or is there a fix for this which I can perform myself?
