My notifications will keep disconnecting with no fix on android for versa 2

On my android connected to a versa 2 the notifications works for a few hours then disconnects and tells me to restart my phone.

When ever i do restart my phone there is no change and the only thing that fixed it is to delete the app and re-download it. And i would rather not have to keep doing that twice a day.

Hi @Harrybunyan - for notifications to work the Fitbit App has to be running in background. If it is stopped by power saving  try this.

On the phone check battery optimizations

[the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit
  • Next go to Settings > Apps  > Fitbit > Storage
  • Clear cache [not data]
  • Force stop the Fitbit app

Every time you reinstall the Fitbit App you have to redo the Notifications setup which is most annoying.

So if battery saving correction doesn't cure it you can try logout and login of the Fitbit App.

Once logged in, go to the home screen without closing the Fitbit App and a Sync pop up should appear, click on this and it should make a new pair and link with the watch.
